We stayed in a superior apartment, there wasn't much difference in price between that and the standard room, and I thought the extra space was better. The apartment was really nice, great size, fairly modern furniture, comfy bed and a reasonable size kitchen. Staff were nice and friendly, and the free tea and coffee in reception was great. Reception closes...

On arrival the place looked lovely and clean and modern and I stupidly offered to pay upfront to save time on departure. We had booked to stay here so we could get to Vienna airport early in the morning. However AVOID ROOM 106 as it is next door to a nightclub that played loud music that was vibrating through the...

We stayed in the basic (double) apartment at the Levante outside of the Town Centre, and location-wise it wasn't too bad. It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the Stephansplatz square. If you can figure out the trams there's probably a quicker way into town too though. In terms of the room itself there wasn't too much wrong. The bed was...

We were very warmly welcomed by staff. Our apartment was spacious and very clean, with almost all the facilities we needed in the small kitchenette. The only downside is that the apartment was very stuffy and hot. A small fan in the corner did little to help. Its about a 15 minute walk to the old town and if you're...

Nothing too special as it's an apartment, So doesn't have the luxury of a hotel, No gym, Restaurant etc. But is very clean, comfortable, modern in a convenient location and very quiet. If I was staying in Vienna for more than a few days I would have preferred this to a hotel as you can stock the fridge & cook...

Visited Levante apartments in September. Firstly we were in room 206 which faces directly onto the busy street below. It was extremely noisy, hot and there was a bar below so the room filled with cigarette smoke. No fans or aircon. For the second night we asked reception to change rooms and they were obliging, can highly recommend room 101....

So far we have stayed one night out of three.....We are in a standard appartment, but it is nothing like advertised and very very hot, and the fan supplied cannot cool the upper sleeping area. There is no dinning table and the kitchen (if you could call it that) is nothing like advertised or in the pictures - no cook...

Useful setting close to the inner ring. The room was excellent - three rooms really; bedroom, sitting room with T.V and kitchen with bathroom off that, so four I suppose. Everything was clean, another pillow would have been good, or perhaps I am being picky. We asked for a fry pan and received one immediately. Excellent supermarket close by, if...

This place was good. The rooms were modern and had comfortable beds. There were a few concerns like the elevator. The elevator is tiny and can just hold 3 people with medium sized bags and this becomes an issue when traveling with big bags. Another I have found I the lack of air conditioning, there is a fan but it...

Levante Laudon is situated in a great suburb of Vienna within easy walking distance from the Rathaus and Rathaus station. There are several eateries around the apartments. Although the reception looks impressive the apartments are not. The lifts are EXTREMELY small. We stayed on the 4th floor with a loft as a "2" bedroom. It was really very hot... Only...

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
