We stayed here on a brief overnighter in Vienna. The location was really convenient as only a few minutes walk from the train station. We arrived at 3pm and had to leave the next morning by 9 am to meet friends at the airport. The reception staff were very helpful and provided us with a map so we could walk...

I have stayed here twice and will stay again on my next trip. I cant fault this hotel. It is homely but smart and well appointed. Breakfast is great and the staff are excellent. It is well located for the city sights and convenient to the airport train at praterstern - just a short walk away.

It¨was my first visit to this place. It´s was recommended by other people. The breakfast was delightfull, I couldn¨t avoid taste every meal. It was comfortable with friendly staff. The proximity to U-Bahn and S-Bahn station was very important for us.We can visit the Vienna International Center ,The Danube, the old centre and go shopping

Visited Vienna for a week and stayed in this hotel the entire time. Room we chose was on the small side but totally adequate for what we were looking for. Bathroom was huge and brand new. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. Could not beat the location. Metro station was a couple of minutes walk down the block....

We used Trip Advisor to find the hotel. The staff was very helpful. Lovely breakfast buffet. Spotlessly clean with good beds. Subway station just down the street has you at St. Stephan's in under 10 minutes. Make sure you get a good map and the subway map and you are good to go.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
