Really enjoyed the hotel and was only a short walk to the metro station...though a tip...don't go to the Prater station after dark...gets a little uncomfortable..but the other station is just as close. The Prater is very close and lots of good food choices and cheap. the Hotel offers a HUGE breakfast with lots of choices and was very satisfy....

Really good. In everything. Great Hotel and classic, everything is well taken care. It is clean, good location, walking distance to the center. Near the train station and the subway. There are a few nice restaurants around but the hotel is at 15 minutes walking to the center where there many dinning offers.

My wife and I were passing through Vienna May 2nd-4th, 2015 and found this hotel on TripAdvisor because of it's high ratings. When we arrived the staff was very helpful and friendly. He even went out of the way to break a 100 euro bill for us out of his own personal wallet. He also recommended some nearby bike rentals...

We stayed in this hotel for six nights in April. It was very conveniently located - we took the train from the airport and it was a short walk from Praterstern station. Rooms were good size, bathrooms were huge. There was even a clothesline in the bathtub to hang up hand wash. The staff was excellent, friendly and helped us...

Ok so this is exactly what it says.. "Classic" We had a fantastic stay here. It's clean it's a great location and the staff are first class. The hotel could be classed as dated, but we believe this is the look they are going for. It's a great place and if you are thinking about booking it just do it....

We stayed there one week in April. The hotel seems "old style", but all facilities are modern. A wide bedroom for 3 persons. A fantastic morning buffet, very friendly staff. It has a special garage for the bicycles we rented in Vienna. The location is perfect. UBahn is at 5 minutes walk and the Ring 10 minutes by bike. Maybe...

This is an old style hotel on a very central location with excellent connections by bus , tram, subway and city train/ CAT. It still has metallic keys to unlock and lock rooms and has a decent breakfast spread but no 24 hr eating place or in-room dining. It was unusually warm this time of year - 26 c ,...

I stayed here for a business trip in April 2015. In comparison to other hotels that I was searching, I found Austria Classic Hotel Wien very much convenient in terms of a good price, cleanness and location. Hotel staff was very much friendly in providing us with additional information about the city and a 'must see' locations of Vienna. The...

This hotel is great value close to a train station and two subway stations, wonderful helpful staff. When was the last time you stayed at a hotel that would give you an umbrella to take with you and return on trust. Great breakfast. A short walk away is an amusement park with one of the oldest Ferris wheels in Europe

We really enjoyed the Austria Classic Wein Hotel. Rooms were nice and clean and the location was perfect to get to the "circle" which included St. Stephens Cathedral and museums galore. Christoph was especially helpful at helping us choose things to do and how to get around. The train system is easy and right there.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
