Booked my 5 night trip to Vienna through BA website which offered this hotel. Could not have been a better choice! Beautifully clean and spacious room with a lovely bathroom with power shower and eco-friendly amenities. Minibar also incredibly reasonably priced compare to other hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast delicious with special mention going to the fabulous coffee. Staff...

We loved this hotel, it was so clean and quiet yet very central too. Rooms were large, great bathrooms, breakfast had a great selection and the staff were very helpful too. Lots of great restaurants nearby and only 500m to the metro which services the whole city. Highly recommend it.

We had three days in Vienna before joining a group tour and our friend found Der Wilhelmshof for us. What a fantastic and fortuitous find that was. From the spacious rooms with awesome decor to a really satisfying breakfast buffet to the amazingly calm Zen-like inner courtyard garden/terrace. The distance to the inner city is easily covered by public transport...

The hotel was very nice and the decor was interesting. The room was larger than I expected and was very comfortable. The shower was a bit larger than many in Europe, which was a treat. The included breakfast was very nice with a broad selection. The only downside was the less than central location. As a solo traveller, I am...

We´ve now been going to Vienna for eleven uninterrupted years for the United Nations legal meetings and have stayed at this hotel every single time. There is no other hotel we would want to stay at as Der Wilhelmshof is the hotel of our dreams. The rooms are fully equipped, stylish and so comfortable! Also impeccably clean. The whole hotel...

We were pleased we chose this hotel for our first visit to Vienna where we stayed in a delux room. The bedroom had twin beds, tv, large wardrobe, mini-bar, safe, sofa and swivel chair but no mirrors. The wet room had walk-in shower with large cubicle and the hotel provide large bottles of their own shower gel, shampoo and body...

I booked this hotel while I attended a meeting at the Vienna International Conference center. I was SO pleased with the hotel in every way. First point - the hotel is quite charming inside and it offers a great breakfast every morning. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and very well designed; it was...

Hotel is beautiful and the staff is so friendly! I like their idea of having organic shower gel, shampoo and lotion in the bathroom. They also have organic food and drinks in mini bar. Breakfast was excellent! It is really near Stefanplatz, maybe 7-10 minutes walking. We left our car on the street maybe 50 metars from hotel because parking...

Comfortable rooms. Nice bathroom. Easy 20 min stroll into the old town. Breakfast ok. Nice garden. Simple and clean. Some restaurants, McDonald's shops and bars close by. Late checkout not a problem. I'd visit again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and are very glad we picked this hotel. We arrived to a very friendly welcome by hotel reception. This was continued throughout our stay day and night. Always happy, chatty and ready to help. The hotel is spotless and nicely presented with lots of art and modern decor. We used the hotel bar often...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
