Great location next to Westbahnhof Station & a 15 minute walk to Museums Quartier. Clean room & bathroom & comfy bed. Generally helpful staff. Convenient lockers for storage before/after check out. Wifi connection had major issues.

The location very strategic it situated at city central. It is very close to shopping area, less than 2 minutes walk. The train station about 5 minutes walk. The local attraction such as museum, Mozart Park...only less than 25 minutes walk. The room is clean and the bathroom in our room quite spacious. The staff also helpful. It's a good...

An excellent choice near the city centre. Five minutes from the hostel there is a metro station that takes you to the city. If you don't want to pay the 2,20E that costs the ticket, you can take a walk (15-20 minutes) to the centre. The room we stayed was clean and it had its own bathroom plus a common...

Welcomed (if you can call it that) by unfriendly staff, the room was unclean and mattress uncomfortable, not in a great area, loud in the common area until very late - this noise was projected up into the room. I wouldn't recommend staying here and I'll never go back.

Dear Guest, Sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay and gave us only one point. You stayed for a budget price in a hostel in a dorm. Our rooms are cleaned daily. When you check in a shared room, the room is already in use from your roommate. Our location is very central. We have an overall score...

This Hostel was worth the trip to Wien. Great location and staff. We really enjoyed our stay here. It's in a tiny side street next to Vienna's famous shopping street. Currently they are rebuilding it. Seems it's going to be a great pedestrian area soon. Sally und Emily from USA

The hostel was perfectly situated just by the train station (2min walk) and its a 10min journey to go to the city center. The staff was really friendly, were very happy to help with numerous things and had a great experience over there. Breakfast was ok considering the low price and overall didn't have any problems with my room. Perfect...

The best thing about this hostel is the location, which is almost next to the Westbahnhof, so if catching an early train is your intention, it should do it. Otherwise the hostel itself is lacking atmosphere and the typical cosy feeling a hostel should have. Rooms are mainly huge, with 6-8 beds, which would be ok, but then there are...

Poor internet connection in the rooms. Place looked new though. I chose the 8pax dorm eith toilet in the room. It was clean and spaceous. There were no electric plugs close to the bed and no personal lamp either. Reception people were also very helpful and friendly.

The hostel's convenient location near Wien Westbahnhof is probably the only reason I would choose to stay here again. The hostel's website clearly says "free bedsheets" and "free breakfast", so you can imagine my surprise when I had to pay €2 when checking in for bed linen and €4 in the morning for breakfast. I was told that this was...

Stayed here for three days, wasn't impressed at all. Location is good, but you are hit with a €2 fee when you arrive for linnen. The building itself is like an old hospital. No noise after 8pm and the "kitchen" is literally a microwave and a george forman grill. Staff were mixed, some friendly and some not. If you are...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
