Hotel Ekazent is definition of average. Good location, close to metro and Schlossbunn Palace Gardens. Decent breakfast buffet for 8.50 euros. Rooms fairly comfortable but really need attention to make better. Carpet old, furniture too. Highlight of place is their pet bird who hangs out in the lobby. (31 years old, born with one bad wing, cute mascot) 5 minute...

We stayed in Hotel Ekazent for three nights and I was pleasantly surprised. Looking at other peoples reviews I did wonder what it would be like as people said "it was a bit run down" , etc. Yes the hotel is a bit dated and the rugs in the reception area were a bit worn but that tells me that...

The hotel is situated in an area with several restaurants al around. The Schonbrunn palace is nearby and so is a park. The U4 metro is nearby. Fixed price taxis bring you from the airport if you do not want to take public transport. The rooms are large with walk-in closets. The noise from traffic is a bit more than...

If you're looking for a fine hotel, this is not the place. It's older, hasn't been updated, and the carpet is old and stained. Is it an affordable, clean place? Yes. No amenities but the bathroom was clean, reception friendly. The street noise is a bit much if you're a light sleeper. No air conditioning. Great location! Close to the...

Stayed here for one night with a big group of family. Upon arriving, we saw a sign that said the hotel reception was up the stairs. So we walked up from the ground floor to the 1st floor (with our luggage). Saw another sign saying to go up. Well we had to keep walking until we found the reception on...

I visited the hotel 11 years ago and again now. Almost nothing seems to have changed - same carpets, same furniture, same bathroom, the same parrot at the reception. Maybe just different paint on the walls. The hotel has very good location, near the wonderful Schönbrunn palace and is very close to U4 metro line. The rooms are clean and...

Hotel Ekazent is located in the Schonbrunn area above some shops in a commercial district . It is old and in need of updating but it has clean comfortable rooms that I found to be to more than acceptable and very good value. the breakfast at €8 is also good value but as you would expect limited in choice ,although...

The hotel was nice. Staff was polite and helpful. The room was old-fasioned but clean and comfortable. We got the bed for the baby. The breakfast was standard quality but the coffee could be better. The hotel has the agreement with the parking and the price is 19 EUR/day.

Very big and neat rooms, but as described it's old . Located in very commercial and lively area with very good connection to city centre and airport . Less than 30 mins away from the airport by public transport , and 10 mins to city center by Ubahn line U4. More than 4 tram lines passes by.

This is our second stay here. We would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone. Our room that looked over the shopping area was very spacious, clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and was good to see that after 2 years the cockatoo was still there. The hotel is very close to Schonbrunn Palace and Heitzing Metro station. A very...

Staying in Hietzing

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
