This pleasant and unobtrusive pension is a typical European pension (bed-and-breakfast) hotel in a rather unusual setting. The hotel is located in the neighborhood just off of the Stadtpark (City Park) in central Vienna. The hotel reception is on the second floor of a large combination residential-commercial typical Viennese courtyard building. My room was very comfortable with a double and... More

In the Vienna center. Good quality for price. Pleasant welcome. A little bit noisy in the rooms. Calm situation Be careful with the taxi from hotel to airport : he has asked 40 + return !! It's very unpleasant

We chose a four bed apartment at Lumes for its central location and a reasonable list price. But, it does not deserve the stars it advertises. The toilet stank, there were no drapes on the windows so that people from the walk-trough gallery could look onto our bed, none of the doors could be closed to latch and the furniture... More

We arrived late in Vienna, finding the place wasn't difficult, the location is very central. We chose the 90sqm appartment. The room was not clean, the furniture was 50 years old, to enter the apartment we had to cross a inner yard balcony. 2 star is a overkill for this "place" that advertises as a four-star hotel. When we faced... More

The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of what appears to be a large classic multi-story apartment complex. The location of the hotel is very central, just minutes away from city center, the park and many of the attractions in Vienna. Rooms: The room I stayed in was very large and clean. Though the bathroom was tiny and only... More

This was a truely single room (ie single bed) and a small room but very comfortable and for the price it was terrific. This was a big deal for me as a solo traveller b/c accommodation can really hit hard when you are not sharing the cost! Unless you like to spend a lot of time in your room you'll... More

The major advantage of this hotel is its location, as mentioned in other reviews. It calls itself a "Pension" which probably would best translate as a family hotel where one can also get meals, but here this refers only to breakfast. The rooms are standard, the carpets slightly filthy, the shower on the small side and rather simple. There is... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
