My husband and I stayed in this fabulous hotel for 2 nights. The room was spacious with every amenity you could want. The bathroom was spacious with a place to put everything! The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Nadine who we saw the most. We have been traveling for 7 weeks and this hotel had the best breakfast,...

Stayed here for three nights in a superior double room. Ideal space, very quite and a great base for exploring beautiful Vienna. Easy to find from the underground and front desk staff very helpful providing us with ideas for dinner, maps and where the Christmas markets were located. Happy to book dinner reservations for you. Would highly recommend for an...

A charming eclectic place welcoming you to Vienna! The staff were helpful with recommendations and concert tickets as well as promptly returning my several email inquiries! Loved the art on each floor and the lift was something to see and experience! Truly enjoyed my stay here!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and loved almost everything about it! We stayed in a room with a private balcony and it had everything you need, including chocolates on the pillow each evening and a nice view. It was a clean room with a comfortable bed. My only point of complaint would be the...

Our room was very small but both it and the bathroom were well equipped (including big thick bath robes). The hotel is kept at about gas mark 4 but once we had unplugged the bathroom heater and worked out how to cool down our room we were very comfortable. The breakfast could not be faulted. We had an issue with...

The Das Tyrol is well located, a few minutes walk from the tourist attractions of the centre of Vienna and just off the main shopping street. Our room was spacious, very quiet, and well appointed with modern, clean, attractive, fittings, as was the decor of the hotel generally, with lots of interesting modern artworks. Breakfast, in a delightfully decorated room,...

We were staying in Vienna for a conference and this hotel was the envy of all of our conference friends. Everything was wonderful, down to the small details. The design is imaginative and you will find fun details everywhere you look, from the lobby to the breakfast room, to the hallways. The hotel provides a restaurant guide with walking distances...

We opted to try this small Boutique Hotel, following a fifteen (15) day River Cruise on Uniworld's River Ambassador! Walking through the front door into the Hotel lobby, we knew from the first look, this "Was the Place" we wanted to be! The furnishing are First Class, everything appears to be new and very well done! The small elevator for...

We stayed here for 4 days and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Pleasant rooms, very comfortable beds and just a general feel of being taken care of by the pleasant and attentive staff members. The location is great and you can walk everywhere in the city centre with total ease. The Wellness-area is perfect for couples. Overall I would very much...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
