The Pension Kraml is a delightful place for a family to stay. My husband and I stayed there with our son and another couple. We shared a family apartment which had two bedrooms and a bath. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms charming. The breakfast room was typically Austrian and the food delicious. It is one subway stop...

After reading TA reviews we decided to stay at the Pension Kraml. My husband, daughter & I stayed in a family apartment. The cost of the room was an exceptional value in this expensive city. The rooms were quite large which we all enjoyed, particularly after a long day. My daughter liked the privacy of having her own room. The...

We stayed here for two nights and were impressed by the pension in general. The proprieter was quite helpful and exuberant. We liked the room and the facilities were decent sized and clean. The U4 train station is only a few minutes walk away which gives access to schonbrun schlosse. It takes a good 15 minutes to walk right into...

There's not many words needed to describe the Pension Kraml - familiar, warm, friendly, perfect service and an incredible breakfast buffet. A place to relax after a hard day in town and were you will feel immediately "at home". I want to personally thank Stephan and his lovely staff for an incredible nice stay at their home. They will help...

The Kraml family runs a tight operation and standard of service is high. The location is very convenient near Mariahilfestrasse where all the shops, restaurants and subway station are. One negative about this hotel which I don't mind was that it has no lift and we stayed on 3rd floor :). Nonetheless I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Enjoyed our stay. The Pension is close to the underground, one of the good shopping areas and not so far by foot from the historical part of the city. The room spacey, TV and minibar and is cleaned every day, incl. towels. Do bring Shampoo however. A nice buffet breakfast and Stephan, that runs the place almost single-handedly, is a...

We stayed in room 7, it was very clean and spacious. No road noise was heard and we slept well for the 3 nights we stayed. The staff were helpful and courteous. Buffet breakfast was good and kept us going to the afternoon. Two local bars, only 1 minute walk away. To the museum district was about a 30 minute...

My parents and I stayed at Pension Kraml for 4 nights in September 2010. We booked the family room on the 1st floor (which was handy because there are no lifts). The location is great : You can take the bus and reach Burgring (where most of the museums are located) in 10 mins. Pilgramgasse tube station is nearby as...

We stayed for 7 nights at the Pension Kraml and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were a little dated, so if you're looking for something modern this is the wrong choice for you. The room was very quiet and had a small fridge and TV. The breakfast was incredible, buffet style. Lots of cheese, bread and meat and it really...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
