We were there last weekend, from outside typical wien old house, very nice, very good position, close to Zoo by foot, 10 minutes, Nothing exclusive inside as 3 stars older hotel, bed was not good, stuff very firendly, breakfast Ok.
This is a great place to stay just outside the center of city. Only a short walk to the zoo. Bus stop outside the door to and from station. Train direct to city center from station. Place and grounds only a short walk away.
We where there for a small bite after visiting the nearby cemetary - which is a sight by itself !
the food was quite good and had a Viennese original touch

The location is perfect: the Schönbrunn Palace and the Zoo is in walking distance. Our room was big (it was a family room), but it was quite hot. One of the single beds was terrible, the other beds were ok. The bathroom is very clean....More
I am very happy always when my expectation is overcome! And this 3* hotel made it! Close to Schonbrunn park and Zoo and with good connection to Prater. Tasty food and nice staff. Wien is near at hand;)

Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down
Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
