Amalie Hotel is located right in the city centre. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast offered lots of choices. Waffles and tea/coffee were available all afternoon for free. I stayed in a single room which was sufficient for a 6-day stay. It was clean and well equipped. A bit uncomfortable was the noise outside during the...

The hotel is central to town and restaurants. Good choice at breakfast and free coffee & waffles during the day. Very helpful staff, the only downside is the size of the bathrooms in the room. Some of the 5th floor rooms have a good view of the mountain and harbour.

Stayed here for 3 nights in a double room and it was almost perfect. It is a small hotel but really good . Pros: 1) Location : Close to the city center, waterfront, restaurants. There are paid parking areas just outside the hotel 2) Service : Very helpful, warm, accommodating and friendly staff. They made our stay more enjoyable. Special...

We were three ladies staying in a family room. Small but well appointed room with space for four, two of the beds were 'fold out from the wall bunk-beds'. The beds were very good and the bathroom was a nice size. The room had character and a homely feel. Everything was very clean and neat. I thought it would have...

We had a good stay at the Amalie hotel. The room was small, one of the bed was under the window with the frigobar at the foot of the bed, (a little bit more space around the foot of the bed would have been appreciated) but it was clean and comfortable. It is in the city center and one block...

Stayed 5 nights. Excellent location in the city centre. Close to cafes and supermarket. One minute walk to the waterfront, with restaurants, shopping centre and the beautiful view. There is a public bus station to the airport just across the street (but you have to buy a bus ticket in the tourist info centre). Smooth check in and out. Very...

Hotel was finessential, central, although as overpriced as everything in Norway. Airport transfer was to the door. Staff very helpful, including sorting out excursion at late notice. Room was comfortable, breakfast good.

This hotel is smaller than most but makes up for it with a GREAT staff and good food. Everyone at the front desk was wonderful. Michael and Markita, by name, but all were great. The kitchen staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good with a good variety of foods to choose from and it changes a little...

We loved this small, independent hotel. It is well located, within walking distance of city attractions and good restaurants. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The serve-yourself breakfast was excellent. The free waffles and coffee available in the afternoons were a nice touch and allowed us to recover from a couple of busy days. For a small fee you...
