Loved this little hotel. Very central in Tromso. So close to travel links and to choices for exploring this beautiful area. Staff were smiley and as helpful as possible. Breakfast was plentiful. Ok, the room was cosy, but held all needed for a base and a bed. We didn't come to stay all day in a bedroom! We saw awesome...

This hotel met our needs for a clean, centrally located hotel with a comfy bed. It's a tad bit run down in some areas--there were water stains on the bathroom ceiling tiles and a strange, cabbage-like smell in the hallways (but thankfully not in the room)--but for the price, it was perfectly fine and I'd certainly consider staying there again.

Very nice and clean hotel in citycenter. Nice people working there. I enjoyed the breakfast. You can make wafles yourself in the afternoon free of charge. Close to the airport busstop. Close to the harbour.

We stayed 4 nights at the Amalie Hotel and left a couple of days ago. We found it to be perfectly placed for Tromso town centre and most links to most things! While the room was compact, it was perfectly functional, after all, it is only needed for washing, changing and sleeping! It meet all of those needs with ease....

Nice little hotel very close to the town centre, with great connections through the busses and the tourist information centre is right outside. Rooms were clean, tidy, comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. Its definitely more of a base than a destination. Breakfast was also good.

We stayed for a quick night and morning in September. Amalie is a very nice affordable hotel. Rooms were average-to-small but was adequate for what we needed. Bathrooms were nice. Our TV remote didn't work since the back wasn't on the battery cover. Parking was poor--resulted in a parking ticket since we weren't told where or how to park if...

Thanks to Chess Olympics that happened during our stay, the price of the room may have doubled... Otherwise, the stay would have been coherent: room size a little above average we observed in Norway, a bit old fashioned, well for sleep. Breakfast was not as diverse as in other hotels but was tasty. Location was very good for us: centric...

This is in a great location, just steps from the two main streets and also steps from the Flybussen (airport bus) stop. The room was small with an average sized bathroom, but it had everything we needed and seemed very clean. The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful and the breakfast, which was included, was great...

This was an amazing place to stay for our two days in Tromso. After driving for several hours we arrived late afternoon to find that we could make a snack of waffles and jam in the dining room. There was always coffee and tea available and for late arrivals, there was a pot of soup and bread that was offered...
