We spent 2 nights here and were pleased with the service, the location and the price. Breakfast was fantastic and in a lovely airy room. The only downside was that the parking was very expensive with no discount for customers.

Stayed in a double room on the second floor for two nights. The view was depressing: looking right into the neighbours living rooms..... No chance for privacy without drawing the curtains all day. No extra pillow which I think should be standard for a hotel in that price range. The breakfast was good - but the breakfast room is not... More

The Scandic Solsiden suited our needs just fine. I think we could have walked from the train station, but got in at 9:30 at night, so took a taxi. The room was small, in the way of Scandinavian hotels, but very neat and tidy. It would have been a tight fit for the two of us if we were staying... More

Solsiden is a rather new part of Trondheim with shops and restaurants by the sea. The Scandic Solsiden has a good location and most things are within walking distance. You can easily walk to Nidarosdomen for example. The rooms are nice and breakfast great where you even can make your own pancakes.

This hotel is good and to recommend. The rooms are a little bit snall but clean and modern. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is close to a small shopping center and has a lot of nice restaurants close by. And it is a 5min. walk to the city center.

very nice - located next to the river, a shopping complex and a wide range of restaurants/bars. big downside for the sommer month - the curtains were not 100% light proof, therefore the room was bright all night. most stuff was very nice, only one very unfriendly lady (guess it happens)...

Got to the hotel from Trondheim airport with the Vaernes Ekspressen bus service that stopped at the "Solsiden bus stop" almost right in front of the hotel which was very convenient. The location is just outside of the centre of Trondheim but you´ll be right in the action after a 10 minute walk. At the bus station lots of other... More

This hotel is just outside the old centre of Trondheim, which means a stroll to the Cathedral from here will add 5-10 minutes to your walk. But it IS right next door to the revamped and hip docks and bay area that offers several popular restaurants, bars and besides shops at the adjacent Solsiden shopping centre. The hotels restaurant is... More

I just spent a night at this hotel in Trondheim. The room was big, clean, comfy, quiet, nice bed, good tv, nice bathroom. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing and inviting. But the real reason anyone stays at this hotel (and so should You) is the hotel breakfast! It's been awarded "best hotel breakfast in Europe" many times,... More

Stayed here for one night, but if felt like two days, since I arrived in Trondheim at 7:00 am and they were able to check me in already around 8:00 am. Was expecting to check in the afternoon! A new-ish, very modern, simple but a quality hotel with Scandinavian style. Everything was clean, nice, well worth the money. The hotel... More
