Comfortable hotel both for a weekend private stay and for business. Good bed, average Norwegian size room (quite small) and a good breakfast buffet. Stayed many times and never had any sort of problem. Internet free without those silly coupons or membership required, no gym, but you can get free entry for the very nice 3T a few minutes walk...

Clean, nice rooms with comfortable beds. Great breakfast with a lot of choices for sandwiches, warm things, nice smoothies. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location for exploring downtown Trondheim and areas with galleries, arts. Several nice bars and restaurants very close by, as well as a shopping mall.

Scandic Solsiden, late arrival but friendly at reception. Quiet room and nice bed, breakfast with a lot of variation and free wifi with a good bandwidth. Perfect for a business stay. Trondheim is a nice town, it was a pitty I had no time to visit it.

We spent 2 nights here and were pleased with the service, the location and the price. Breakfast was fantastic and in a lovely airy room. The only downside was that the parking was very expensive with no discount for customers.

Stayed in a double room on the second floor for two nights. The view was depressing: looking right into the neighbours living rooms..... No chance for privacy without drawing the curtains all day. No extra pillow which I think should be standard for a hotel in that price range. The breakfast was good - but the breakfast room is not...

The Scandic Solsiden suited our needs just fine. I think we could have walked from the train station, but got in at 9:30 at night, so took a taxi. The room was small, in the way of Scandinavian hotels, but very neat and tidy. It would have been a tight fit for the two of us if we were staying...

Solsiden is a rather new part of Trondheim with shops and restaurants by the sea. The Scandic Solsiden has a good location and most things are within walking distance. You can easily walk to Nidarosdomen for example. The rooms are nice and breakfast great where you even can make your own pancakes.

This hotel is good and to recommend. The rooms are a little bit snall but clean and modern. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is close to a small shopping center and has a lot of nice restaurants close by. And it is a 5min. walk to the city center.

very nice - located next to the river, a shopping complex and a wide range of restaurants/bars. big downside for the sommer month - the curtains were not 100% light proof, therefore the room was bright all night. most stuff was very nice, only one very unfriendly lady (guess it happens)...

Got to the hotel from Trondheim airport with the Vaernes Ekspressen bus service that stopped at the "Solsiden bus stop" almost right in front of the hotel which was very convenient. The location is just outside of the centre of Trondheim but you´ll be right in the action after a 10 minute walk. At the bus station lots of other...
