I'm literally sitting awake at 1:16am on a Tuesday morning at Basic Hotel Bergen because I cannot sleep due to the loud music from the downstairs night club. I'm on a second floor room. The earplugs the hotel provides do not help at all because it's bass music being blasted. When checking in, ask for a room on the third...

The nightclub located on the ground floor of this hotel, very active until 0200, really destroys what otherwise is a very acceptable property that offers reasonable accommodations at a fair price for Bergen. My room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked properly. If you do not go to bed until 2 or 3 am, this is the place for...

I came to stay just one night, the shower was broke. The front desk lady tried to fix it but she couldn't so we used it anyway. The room is good size. There is no breakfast or lobby in the hotel and the reception does not work the whole day. The street is full of pubs and discos, but the...

I must have missed the warnings about this place being over a dance club. Holy Moses! The thumping bass is so loud you can feel the vibration. The music is incredibly loud, so you can't have your windows open. Because the windows are closed, the room got sweltering hot. So, we had about 5 hours of heat and thumping music...

I wish I could give this hotel a higher rating because the room is very comfortable, has an amazing bed, is super clean, and of a fairly good size too. But alas I can't due to one major factor : there are 2 nightclubs right below this hotel which means that there is immense amount of noise at all hours...

This is the second basic hotel I stay here in Bergen. The basic hotel Bergen is in my opinion way better than basic hotel Victoria. Although I found the location of the Victoria one better, the room in this one are way classier updated and clean. I felt like I was in an hotel while in the basic hotel Victoria...

My husband and I visited Bergen with my parents for two nights. I was impressed by the service from the front desk, but I doubt that I would stay here again because it was just a bit too basic for me and looked a little dingy. No phones in the rooms so any time we needed to talk to my...

Nice hotell, nice and flexible staff. And clean and cosy rooms. Very central location only downside was that the hotel is in a street with a lot of nightclubs, so it was a little bit noisey and can be exhausting over longer time perioids. The room came with earoplugs though.

Stayed two consecutive nights, then spent a night in Flam, then went back to Bergen and stayed in the same hotel. The staff was extremely responsive and helpful, and for our first two nights we managed to get a room on the highest floor and therefore we slept very well and were not disturbed by any noise. The room was...
