This lovely guesthouse is located in an old neighborhood, known for its white traditional wooden houses, in a very quiet street. The guesthouse is not in the city center but it's very close, 5-10 min walking. The owners are very nice, you can expect a friendly welcome and a lot of suggestions about restaurants and places to go. It’s not... More

My recent stay in Bergen was made even better after choosing to stay at Skuteviken Guesthouse. So easy to find thanks to the comprehensive directions on the website and a knowledgeable bus driver who kindly put me off at the right stop and pointed the way. My apartment was, cosy, well appointed, immaculately clean, well equipped and a delight to... More

This was the nicest and quaintest place to stay and enjoy a bit of true Norway (Bergen) In a very narrow little walkway you entered this lovely guesthouse and are greeted warmly by the friendly owners. They also give you excellent advise where to go and what to do in Bergen, might safe you queuing in the busy Tourist information... More

We loved our apartment on the second floor which was well appointed and located in a beautiful part of town a short walk from the harbour. As it is an historic building it is quite compact with low headroom in places and the stairs are steep and winding but that is part of its charm. The bathroom was very stylish with... More

This is a guesthouse on four floors. Reception on the ground floor, 2 apartments on each of the next two floors and an attic apartment on top. We stayed in room 5, the attic. This consisted of a door opening direct on to the bottom of spiral wooden stairs with the top of these opening to the lounge/kitchen space. This... More

Skuteviken Guesthouse is a superb place for staying overnight in Bergen, for a few days or more. Located in the old and very picturesque Skuteviken quarter in Bergen, the house is situated in a small alley, supported by other houses and within an arm's length from the opposite houses. The top floor, however, offers a nice view over part of... More

It's true! Having been travelling for a little while, this felt like coming home. The rooms are gorgeous. You get an equipped kitchenette, a private ensuite (with hair drier), a comfortable bed and eclectic, quirky, cute furnishings and decorations, including some really good art work by the way. The hosts are just lovely and welcoming. I followed up on the... More

We recently stayed for four nights at Skuteviken Guesthouse and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for something different to the usual run of the mill city hotels. The guest house is ten minutes walk from the last stop of the Airport Bus (just past Bryggen) and set in an historic area of Bergen with many almost New England... More
