If you are looking for a swanky boutique hotel this is not your place. If you are travelling with your dog then you will be hard pressed to find anywhere better. All the staff at the Mumbles Carlton love dogs. We just stayed for one night and all 3 of us, two humans and one dog, were made very welcome....

I booked with Bookings .com and paid 85 pounds for a twin room for New Years Eve. I stayed in room 27. I was aware it was not sea view and did not mind. The room actually has a double bed and single bed. It had an en suite bathroom, and tea and coffee facilities, TV , and access to...

Just stayed 2 nights, and couldn't recommend it more. Right on the seafront not far from the pier. Car park opposite (free from 7pm to 9am otherwise £5 all day). Marvellously dog friendly. We had a ground floor sea view room which was easy to pop out for a quick morning walk. We're veggie and the hotel got in veggie...

If you are looking for a dog friendly hotel in the Swansea area, than look no further than this hotel. It may not be the Ritz, but the Ritz does not allow dogs to wander all over the place, get fed sausages at breakfast and dog treats by the Bar Staff. I stayed in Room 40 which opened up onto...

We stayed for three nights, and felt that this hotel needed more proactive management. We were shown to our room, where the window was open and the room was cold. We tried to get the heating to work, but we found out that it was centrally controlled, and did not come on until about 6.45pm ( we arrived at 2pm)....

Although we had a confirmed reservation for a twin room with a sea view, the owner could find no record of the booking - because the staff were 'all on holiday' and he didn't know how to work the reception computer. He put us in a very shabby double room at the back of the building and promised us a...

I really couldn't fault the hotel on anything. The twin room and adjourning shower room was clean and while not vast, certainly comfortable for two. With the bonus of a door out on to a secure decked veranda the dog was also well pleased. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff are delightful, nothing seemingly is too much trouble....

We loved Mumbles and the surrounding area, but this hotel, formerly The Carlton, was not up to standard. We paid £90 for a partial sea view room which was the smallest room room we had ever stayed in and wasn't worth the money and certainly not as shown on their website. Staff weren't very helpful, breakfast OK

The hotel is very well located for anyone who wish to access the beach. It is a little bit old and the rooms are small, but this is counter-balanced by a great breakfast and the kindness of the staff. I had a job interview and everyone was so supportive. There are plenty of restaurants around

We were so lucky to find a hotel to accommodate seven of us, each with our own room, and each with a "sea view". The hotel was quirky and a bit of a tardis, with stairways and rooms in all directions within the hotel. My room was small, but compact and clean with a nice little alcove seating area overlooking...
