Booked for my family of 7 for two night on 23rd-25th Oct 2021 . Arrived at 3pm but the check in process took so long. Three of us arrived first in one car, and the rest of the family in another car was caught in traffic. When I want to enter the lobby, the security(head security maybe-local)at the main entrance said that we cannot checked in yet because all of us are not there and cannot produce the original IC. This is ridiculous as I already checked in online via link sent by the management. I insisted to talk to the receptionist and luckily he allowed us to check in and said there's no need to produce the original IC for everyone. Due to the pandemic situation, limited numbers of guests can use the pool at one time. Completely understandable. The management created, for my opinion, an irrelevant SOP for the pool. Should've make First In First Out rule. Most of the guests were family with kids, of course all want to enjoy the pool. The pool booking system/SOP was absurd. The guard denied entry even though the pool was empty and the guests who booked did not show up. The apartment was superb though. The view is the best. But the elevators was a nuisance. You have to change lift just to go to the car park. I don't understand this as every guest or unit rent is given access/room card. So why one have to go down to the lobby, changed lift just to go to their car in the car park in level 3A-6? And as an accommodation by the beach, would appreciate if you can provide some kind of facilities so that guests can clean themselves after enjoying the beach so the lobby won't be as messy. The tap water at the beach entrance was locked by the security. Luckily your staff were good & patient.

My 2nd trip after a year ago and still liking this place for the view, rooms, convenient and etc...
Kids love the pool and beach nearby, the management was considerate on my request for the arrangement and appreciate it and make everyone happier.

Hope more cleanliness on the kitchen, island top table and sinks area as visible oil stain from the previous tenant I assume could be seen.

Room was sanitized which to our delight and assured us on the strict SOP they practice..Lift was kinda slow due to high occupancy checking out...kinda get lots people irritated.

Booked for my family of 7 for one night on 26th Dec. Arrived at 5pm but unfortunately the apartment wasn't ready. We finally managed to check in at 6.30pm and allowed for late checkout at 4pm next day. Due to the pandemic situation, limited numbers of guests can use the pool at one time. Completely understandable.

The management created, for my opinion, an irrelevant SOP for the pool. When checking in u need to book time to use the pool. Only 10person per hour. By the time the 10th group checked in, the pool booking already full. When i visited the pool the next morning, the group that booked the pool for the hour didn't show up & the pool left empty because people who didn't managed to book the pool earlier were denied entry & the people who booked did not show up. Should've make First In First Out rule. I did raised my concern twice to the reception & also manager on duty. They said they cannot do anything about the rule. Most of the guests were family with kids, of course all want to enjoy the pool. The pool booking system/SOP was absurd.

The apartment was superb though. But the elevators does not make sense. And as an accommodation by the beach, would appreciate if you can provide some kind of facilities so that guests can clean themselves after enjoying the beach so the lobby won't be as messy. Your security guard locked the tap water at the beach entrance.

I guess my stay would be much better if it wasn't the long weekend, but you guys can improve. Apartment was excellent, i got the sea view one. Your staff were good & patient.

Dear Tenant, Warmest Greetings from Tanjung Point Residences! Thank you for staying at Tanjung Point Residences and sharing your review here. We regret to learn of the challenges and disappointment that you have encountered during your stay. To minimize the potential for COVID-19 to spread in the pool area, we have implemented the new SOP of swimming pool that allow us to ensure social distancing and safety of our tenant. Rest assure that we will fully open our swimming pool as soon as we win the war. We have also taken note of the lift arrangement and water tap at entrance of beach gate that you have highlighted and rest assured that these matter will be seriously looked into for our improvement. Once again thank you for your review and we hope this will not stop you to visit us. Stay Safe :) Best Regard, The Management

I am a regular guest of Tanjung Point Residence, where I had been staying here 5-6 times before the pandemic. I am especially amazed by the fabulous seaview from the room. Yet, it is really disappointing that the management and service provided has deteriorated now. Changing of lifts each time to access the carpark has given your guests tonnes of inconvenience, not to mention that you require your guests to validate their touch n go cards at the lobby each time they drive out. What came worst was the machine couldn't read our touch n go card when we drove back once. The guard shouted from far away and asked us to use our room card to enter the carpark, unfortunately neither one worked. It was night time and heavily raining. We were waiting long with hand soaking under the rain, trying out both cards at the machine, and waiving to the guard who seemed reluctant to assist us due to heavy rain. This is bearable when the guard eventually carried an umbrella and helped us up. One thing that is non tolerable is the charges for towel changing. You provide one towel per guest in room but no additional towel for swimming pool. At first, the receptionist lady mentioned that we can change our wet towel, however, after awhile, she called back and informed us that RM 10 applies for changing a towel per person. Your explanation for being a service residence but not a hotel is absolutely unacceptable, while your are charging similar or higher that the hotels nearby. Is this the service you offer for being a "Service" Residence? We do not mind if there is no changing of bedsheet or room cleaning since we were only staying for 2 nights. But charging RM 10 for changing a wet towel from swimming pool is definitely ridiculous! I hope the management can look into this for a comfort stay of your guests.

Whenever I came to Penang I always stay here because the price if affordable for 3 bedroom apartment with 4 bathroom. They also give 2 parking space to the guest and additional parking at the basement. The staff was great. Helpful as usual. They also allowed us to check out late if the place is not fully book without extra charge. I will definitely come again. BUT please make sure the bed sheet clean because I found blood stain on my bed (only a bit)

Pros.
Location. Convenience store on the ground floor. Just outside the lobby. Close to the beach. All rooms are Seaview. Ample parking space. Rooms are clean. Swimming pool on the 7th floor I think are good enough and safe for kids. They do have a little playground on the same floor. Furthermore, two sets of washers and dryers. You just need to buy your own detergent etc and get coins from the reception.
Cons.
Price. Lack of towels n floor mats. Lack of Astro channels. No complimentary water bottles. Housekeeping very slow. They would charge extra rm10 per towel for any extra towels. Parking space in the building are quite a hassle if you're driving a bigger size car. Unless you park at the valet parking which is outside the building. Cost rm30 per day.

I stayed there a year ago and it was a decent place with a nice view. However, the room wasn't very clean, the power tripped in the middle of the night and housekeeping took a long time to respond when we had any issues.

We thought it was teething problems because they were a new property and were willing to give them another chance but they lost all goodwill after cancelling our booking three days before our arrival because of an problem with processing the credit card payment.

There was no response when I tried to call and email the property and I had to scramble to find another place to stay at short notice. The credit card payment went through without a problem there so I have to assume that Tanjong Point messed up once again.

They nearly ruined our family holiday and I will not be giving them a third chance.

These rooms are part of what appears to be mostly a residential building (hence the name I suppose). So it’s more like an air bnb than a hotel, but they do have a front desk open until 11pm and offer maid service, I believe to be true in both cases (we didn’t go that late nor use the cleaning). They also have free parking, and while it’s tight inside the parking structure, it’s not so bad.l if you’re used to small garages.

The room was quite small, including a bed which is a true double size rather than a queen as most hotels seem to have even if they advertise double, but again manageable. The receptionist could have been more fri badly/helpful, but wasn’t rude. The location wasn’t central, but was in between both Batu Feringgi and Georgetown.

So nothing spectacular but a “pretty good” all around.

There are 3 things to consider for when choosing accommodation, that’s Location, Location, Location and Tanjung Point Residences certainly ticks the box, as well as many other features and facilities. Located on beautiful Penang Beach at Tanjung Bungah, the Resort is absolute Beachfront (no busy roads to cross). The apartments are spacious, modern, air conditioned and have everything required to make your holiday and time away...special.
The apartments have high ceilings, large sliding doors onto a private balcony and windows to capture those wonderful views across the strait to Mount Jerai and beyond. You can watch the Cargo and Passenger Ships come and go through the day. The management and staff at Tanjung Point are wonderful.... professional.... very friendly and helpful in every way. There’s secure parking, a convenience store, a restaurant and a hair salon on site. The spacious Gym is well equipped with the latest equipment, then there’s the swimming pool, spa and children’s play area.
It’s easy to give them the highest rating, and they deserve it!! Thanks for a great stay, I’ll be back for sure in the near future.
