Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort is celebrated by guests for its cleanliness and modern rooms with comfortable beds, although some visitors point out that the rooms can be compact, noisy, and vary in maintenance. The hotel's vibrant, family-friendly ambiance offers an array of pools and a waterpark, yet the entertainment can be a hit or miss, described as either enchanting or repetitive. While the staff's attentive service is widely lauded, the noise level and inconsistent air conditioning are noted drawbacks. The resort's location earns praise for its beach proximity, but the value proposition is questioned by those who find the costs outweigh the benefits.

We stayed as a family of four from 20th -27th August. Pools were great, plenty of options for a chilled swim or a splash around and also the water park was good fun. I don't know how many times I walked up the stairs to the top of the slides with my 8 year old. All pools nice and warm too.
Food was one of the best all inclusive's I've stayed in. The buffet restaurant had many options and the Greek meals especially were super tasty.
For fussy/young kids the usual generic nuggets, burgers, pizza and chips etc as well.
Plenty of snacks for between meals too.
We had no problem booking for the burger restaurant and the Greek Taverna, food was good in both.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Room was big enough and cleaned/tidied everyday with clean towels made into animal shapes left on the bed for young kids.
Only 30 mins from airport if you have a private transfer/taxi.
Downsides of hotel include ice creams only available between 2pm-5pm and only 4 flavours which you can have in a cone or cup.
Same ice cream is available in buffet restaurant at lunch and dinner. There are other mini dessert pots available from snack bar though if you need a sugar fix.
Showers are a bit hit and miss...on our first evening we all had freezing cold showers, there after temp was ok but no power to it.
In other 4 star all inclusives we've had premium alcoholic drinks without paying any extra but here was just local drinks. Also they don't give water out in bottles, only cups which isn't great if you are out walking and want water for the room. But easy to get round, we filled our own water bottles up in the restaurant when needed and put in room fridge to chill.
All in all great holiday had by all and we would potentially return but would be worried about how manic the hotel would be at full capacity!!

We booked an all inclusive break for 5 days and it’s been worth every penny. The hotel is really modern, clean and well designed. A range of pools to choose from including quieter areas if you’re not interested in the fun splash area.
A la carte restaurants can be booked as part of the all inclusive package and are well worth it, we booked our choices at the start of the holiday and were really well looked after in each restaurant with our baby.
We were also impressed by the Covid measures, tables and seating have been arranged for social distancing, hand sanitisers everywhere and staff are in masks. The bedroom was lovely and cleaned to a high standard. Would definitely stay again.

Entertainment: Firstly The entertainment team really are AMAZING. We really enjoyed the kids disco, bingo and the shows. However the location of the entertainment was right next to a pool with nothing surrounding it to stop children from falling in. We have a 3 year old and we were unable to relax so worried he would fall in. I’ve read other reviews and apple to lots of people who felt the same so I feel this is something that should be looked at urgently.

Food: The food in little Italy was really good through the day but not so good at the evening, the staff were really accommodating and let us add extra people to
our booking however. The burger restaurant is average. The Greek was our favourite although there is soo much food it was a shame to waste a lot of it because wee were too full. The main buffet restaurants are really good, we enjoyed every meal, the food can be a little repetitive but we find that in every all inclusive. I was disappointed in the lack of seafood however.

Drink: We thought the drinks in the all inclusive package were great we didn’t feel the need to
Upgrade to the premium package.

Pool areas: pools are fab, water park great addition, although some areas are a little tired looking. We preferred the pool by the Greek taverna because the area was cleaner. The pool area with the artificial grass could have been cleaned to a better standard, the tables by the sun loungers were dirty and the artificial grass wasn’t swept up properly.

Room: We were really disappointed with the cleanlinesses of our room on floor 1. We spoke with people who were staying on higher floors and they said their rooms were immaculate and apparently it was a known thing that the higher the room levers the cleaner they were. We had to complain several times about our floor being dirty, the corridors outside our room being filthy with glass left on the floor. I wiped our bathroom floor with a towel and the towel was covered in muck and long black hair. This was the worst house keeping of any all inclusive hotel we have ever stayed at. We then requested to move rooms on our 5th night due to noise of road works which was through no fault of the hotel, they were accommodating and moved us. Our new room was on floor 3, much cleaner and amazing view.

It’s a shame you can’t access a beach easier as the sea is so inviting. The hotel offers a golf buggy down to a small beach good for a swim in the sea but no all inclusive facilities or beds there for leornardo guests.

Overall we did have a really good holiday, with some improvements the hotel could be so much better. We would love to return if some of the issues were rectified .

Dear Beth, Thank you for your comment on Tripadvisor.com I am sorry your experience with us was mixed and not perfect. We take all guest comments seriously particularly the negative ones and always take action to improve. This is a very rare occurrence in the hotel we may have one or two cases one year and none the next two, so I assure you it should not be a reason to keep you from revisiting the hotel. We only ask you for a second chance to make it up to you. We hope that we will see you again. Sincerely, Ionas Ioannou General Manager

My husband had booked this hotel for me and our daughter as a suprise for the weekend. Arriving at the hotel we were so excited as i had seen it and heard of it and i was so so excited. Upon coming to our room that was the first strike of disappointment. The room was dirty there was hair on the floor and small pieces of food and also the toilet sear was dirty. In addition the room felt very hot even though the airconditioning was on. On the plus side the view was amazing and the room as a whole spacious. We went to the reception and told them about the room and they called housekeeping. Until they cleaned the room we went to see the hotel and see what we could eat as it was 7.30 and our baby girl was getting hungry. To our disappointment once again after we were told about the various places in the hotel to eat the only option that was left was the buffet downstairs as all the other restaurants were fully booked and u can only go if u have a reservation (something we would know if we were told from the phone). So no place for the whole weekend. Also we were told that the charge is 22 euro per person or we can do the all inclusive up at the reception which we did and then we regreted it. We went to eat at the buffet. For starters for our child 17 month old there was fries, fish fingers, ravioli which was rubber, burgers and baby carrots. For us there was a variety but i must say not the best food u can have. Entertaiment wise amazing nothing to say there. In terma of service its help yourseld basically. No waiters to ask if u want smth to drink or anything. You have to get up and go get it from the bar. Anyway... we come back to the room and found complimentary champagne and fruit. Very nice i must say but did not fix the problem with the airconditioning. When we went back to the reception they told usve there is no maintenance guy at the moment we have to wait until the morning. Now in Cyprus summer is hot so you can imagine with an airconditioning thats not working and a 17 month old baby how that is. All i can say is that i have been to 3 star hotels which have much better service and better food.
Plus side amazing view, good entertaiment for both adults and kids.

Dear Annamu1986 , Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay at our Leonardo Laura Beach and Splash Resort. I have to admit that I was both disappointed and surprised to read your review. Our team is not only well trained to offer the highest level of service, but they are genuinely hospitable, attentive and work hard to ensure that each and every guest is having a wonderful time. It is no coincidence that all our Tripadvisor reviews mentioned our very high standards of customer service. However we would like to apologise if we have not succeeded in making your stay joyful and memorable. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. We, me my husband and our 3yr Old son, stayed 5 days in this beautiful resort. Everything has been beyond expectation. The buffet is great with lots of options for everyone and a changing menu everyday. The pools are clean, well maintained and have adequate and very professional life guards on-site. There is entertainment every evening (even though there weren’t many people at the time of our stay) the rooms are modern, clean and well equipped.

Last but definitely not least... This hotel does everything to ensure a COVID proof experience for their guests; from social distancing in the restaurants, staff wearing face masks at all times, temperature being measured at arrival, hand sanitizers EVERYWHERE, very thorough cleaning of the rooms... I felt more safe then I do at home. Big thumbs up from Denmark!

Firstly, the positives, our room was a sea view room, which was a good size and modern. Watching the sunsets from the balcony was amazing! The room was kept spotless by Inka, who works very hard and always has a friendly word and a smile every morning. The staff were all very nice, bar staff in main bar especially.
Empty Sun beds were easy to find in the garden area, if you were not too late down, the ones around the pools were always reserved early. The pool area was not kept very clean, there was half eaten food around the next morning and the small tables in between sun beds were filthy. The whole area is very noisy and if sun bathing in the garden, you could hear the thumping base of the music all the time, not a hotel if you like to relax while sunbathing.
The food was ok, a little hit and miss, only luke warm at best, but edible, however, nothing special. Restaurant staff kept tables clean and used spray. If you want to visit the alacarte restaurants, book early because they get filled really quickly.
The hotel sent out mixed messages around mask wearing, some days it was enforced and others not.
Entertainment was centred around children, nothing for adults, kids disco around pool area, was mayhem, noisy with children running around everywhere. Bingo was a joke, couldn’t hear the numbers half the time and took around 45 minutes to play a line and a full house. After the disco there was a magician one night, and karaoke another, also a fire eater act, these were not on long and after that there was nothing. We endured 3 nights of the hotels ‘entertainment’ and for the rest of our holiday we got the bus either to the harbour (bus stop over the road from hotel) €1.50 , last bus back was midnight. Or we went to Coral Bay (bus stop outside of the hotel) again €1.50. Plenty of bars and some with singers, much better than the madness of the hotel.
We travelled with extended family, which included children, and it is great for families, but if we came back to Cyprus ourselves, we would not come back to this hotel.

We were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the minute we stepped through the main doors. Check-in was a breeze thanks to the many staff there to assist you upon arrival. In particular the beautiful Anna!
Our room wasn't ready yet, as we had arrived earlier than specified, so the staff made us feel welcome by showing us to the restaurant and pool areas whilst we waited.

When we entered our Sea View Room we were very happy. The room was modern, spacious and clean and the views from the balcony were fantastic.
We have young children and were concerned about the noise on the evenings from the entertainment...it was minimal. Only one evening we had loud music until 11pm.
I'm glad we chose the sea view room as opposed to the ground floor "pool bar" rooms as they didn't seem very private.

The pool areas were fantastic with plenty of options and space with life guards attending throughout the day. I have to mention George (Georgio) The lifeguard who was really good at his job. The kids pool was ideal and safe enough to let them crack on.
The cherry on the icing is the water slide park...a perfect way to break up your afternoon. With a decent variety of slides for both kids and grown ups.

The choice of restaurants is varied. Being able to choose a different venue and cuisine every evening was exciting and supported the kids being bored of the same food. A big thank you to Vasela and Stouppalia who were particularly attentive to our needs and were super friendly.
Every morning in the main breakfast buffet room we were greeted by the most friendliest staff of the them all, the gorgeous Thekla who I think had worked there about 20 years!

The entertainment staff were always visible throughout the day and actively encouraged people to join in. In particular Grace, who was friendly and fun (never did draw me a winning bingo card though!)
The kids club was first rate with all manners of entertainment (including PlayStation).
The evening entertainment was equally fun and varied. Bingo and mini disco every night with some live music until about 11pm.

Overall we had a very very good experience and would like to visit again. The standard of customer service and varied cuisine definitely made it great value for money.

Room was not cleaned thoroughly as it is supposed to be especially during the pandemic (picture of the balcony table)
We had a full board package so we tried every meal, was not impressed especially by the lunch which was at best mediocre. Breakfast was great.
We had the option of snacks (sandwiches, pizza, pasta) during the day until 17:30 which was very convenient.
The pool area was okay, nothing special just simple sunbeds.
Overall okay but I would say a person might expect a bit more from a 4 star hotel

We booked this hotel at short notice after TUI cancelled our trip to Holiday Village Aliathon.

On first impression the hotel seemed well kept and what you would expect from a 4 star. The rooms were well appointed, although we were disappointed not to have a balcony or working clothes line (300EUR extra per room to upgrade) . All of the staff at the hotel seemed nice, if slightly overworked and the reception when we arrived was not welcoming.

Things went downhill from there.

A trip to the pool was fraught, people everywhere- no concept of social distancing. It did not seem big enough for the size of hotel and several times we lost sight of our 4 year old in the throng.
It was, however, quieter at the lower pool.

The food was not on par with other AI hotels we have stayed in. Choice was limited and salads were covered in mayo. The kids chips and nuggets were cold and the children struggled to eat. The AI drinks were also poor and the juices were sickly and a strange neon shade! At breakfast you could cut the scrambled egg like cheese and there wasn't a metal teaspoon to be found.

My daughter enjoyed the kids disco, but that was all there was in the way of entertainment and as previous reviews have said it lacked any atmosphere - plus AI ended at 11pm.
For the price the hotel charges I think changes to need to be made. We will 100% visit Cyprus again but different hotel.
On the second day we visited the Water park. Again didn't feel very COVID secure as they sell tickets to the public. It was very busy and had fewer slides than the pictures on the website intimate.

By this point I had enough and thanks to the assistance of Gracie the helpful TUI Rep we moved hotels. TUI contact center did not respond until we returned home - so I would not advocate using this if you wish to move hotels in resort.

I would not recommend this hotel, and I wonder how it achieved a 4 star rating as it is not comparable to other hotels I have stayed in. Interestingly many recent glowing reviews are from visitors based in Cyprus.

Because of covid, the hotel encouraged us to check in online which we did but it didn’t make any difference when we arrived, we still had to wait. That said, we had a great time at the hotel. The pizza in Little Italy is one of the best I’ve had in Cyprus. The burger restaurant was also very nice and the staff though busy, were very attentive. The Greek Taverna was simply wow! The food was tasty and very generous. I have made a mental note for next time to save space for the beef stifado which was melt in your mouth gorgeous but I could only have a taste as it was the last dish of the evening. We were well and truly stuffed. Stavroulla, our waitress was also a fantastic tour guide of Greek cuisine who despite a very busy restaurant, didn’t keep us waiting for food and drinks. No complaints there at all. I would also like to specially mention Elpida, the guest relations lady who ensured we got a table that evening despite the restaurant being fully booked. She also greeted us at the restaurant and made sure we were happy. The Covid precautions in the hotel were also very good, gloves and hand sanitisers supplied everywhere especially in the restaurants.

Unfortunately, the house keeping department let the hotel down rather badly. I found broken brown glass on the floor ( scary as we had a child in the room), hair everywhere and dust. The state of hygiene not quite up to standard and when they did come to clean, I had to chase them up for toiletries which they forgot to supply. My daughter had the sofa bed and her bedsheet was removed and the bed not remade. The bedsheet on our bed was also removed and not replaced. The bed was not comfortable and so I didn’t get much sleep during our stay.
However, we will come again and recommend the LL beach & splash to family and friends.
I will have no problem awarding 5 stars if the rooms were clean and housekeeping did their job properly.

Jo
