Eleni Holiday Village has garnered a reputation for its service, with staff often applauded for their friendliness, although guests have experienced some inconsistency in service quality. Many visitors enjoy the pool, especially those with children, but the shortage of sunbeds and distant toilets has been noted. The hotel's location is valued for its access to public transport and local attractions, but the absence of a beach and noise issues are drawbacks.
Rooms are said to be in need of modernization, with some cleanliness concerns raised. While the hotel's atmosphere and cleanliness receive mixed feedback, with some guests appreciating the effort to maintain the premises, others are turned off by the loud entertainment and feel the hotel's value is compromised by additional costs and the need for renovations.

After reading some of the negative reviews we were a little anxious about our stay here, so I want to give an honest review for future potential guests to refer to. Firstly, we arrived very late which is never ideal, but Mike/Mick who checked us in did everything he could to get us to our room as quickly as possible. We were extremely disappointed in the room, it was basic, very hot and not to a standard we would have expected. The main bedroom had 2 single beds pushed together which were on castors so if my husband or I rolled over in the night there was potential to slip down the middle!! The beds were also very uncomfortable - like sleeping on a rock!! Next day we went for breakfast - the food is decent and enough variety to please everyone including our picky 10year old daughter! Contrary to other recent reviews we didn’t find the staff very friendly - most looked like they were having a bad day!! Now to talk about the pool! To be honest it looked like it had never been cleaned with scum along the edges and dirt and sand in the bottom. It stayed this way until my husband complained to the Jet 2 rep. He took her to the pool and showed her how bad it was. Obviously something was said as the scum was cleaned off a couple of days later. The sand and dirt was still left at the bottom though. Room cleaning service was poor - our beds weren’t made and sheets weren’t changed until we complained. Air con was poor in the room and you couldn’t leave it on so went back to a stiflingly hot room! The hotel doesn’t have its own beach either - just rocks and dirt. Generally the place needs a good makeover and a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to a standard that would make it worth the money we spent. On the plus side it is in a good location and the bus service to the harbour and also to Coral beach is good and very reasonably priced. The entertainment was OK - same format every night with Mini Disco and Bingo. The Parrot show was good but a bit disappointing that they charged for kids to have their photo taken with a parrot - the hotel could have maybe covered this cost as part of the fee. Drinks were available but you had to buy bottled water as you could only get plastic cups of water in the all inclusive deal. There is a shop on site which is a bit pricey but is quite well stocked. All in all we wouldn’t return here as the negatives outweighed the positives. If you are looking for a no frills holiday then this is adequate but as I have said it’s not worth the money we paid.

I'll start with the good points, the room that we had was clean and serviceable, The staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Rooms - the shower in our room was broken and wouldn't stay in its holder, one of our parties rooms had the same issue with the shower but also a door handle hanging off and the ground floor patio doors wouldn't lock. After arguments with reception they did eventually move them. Food - the food was mostly very good although there is practically no options for kids or fussy eaters. The food at the snack bar area was fairly good and the drink choices was very good. One of our party has a Gluten allergy, and although the kitchen were spoken to, they weren't too keen to help resulting in meals having to be bought out at more expense when All inclusive was already paid for. Entertainment - The entertainment was pretty bad, it was of a pretty poor standard and was so loud it forced us to go out for our last few nights. One of the acts was a fire breather, and part of the act was for his face to be pushed into broken glass which wasn't really ideal when there were young children watching. There was some reps from the Club Jumbo who were drinking in the same bar as the guests and when they were drunk they got up on stage, singing and screaming and trying to throw each other around dirty dancing style! This was extremely unprofessional, and something I have never came across on previous holidays. These reps were also housed in a room overlooking the pool so they could be seen at all hours outside drinking and smoking. They were also seen around the guest pool several times chatting up young female guests and were even in the pool with them, again very unprofessional. The pool area was pretty clean, there was no where near enough sunbeds for all guests, several days all sunbeds were taken by 0600! and despite signage being up saying not to reserve sunbeds, people were out doing this at midnight. Reception were approached but they had no interest in removing towels so it was done by a few disgruntled guests. The staff were just not interested in doing anything about it so "sunbed wars" happened daily! The reception area was like being on the sun with 2 broken air conditioning units just pushing around the hot air.
There is a decent supermarket a 5 minute walk away and taxis into the harbour range in price but were on average 15 euros.
Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Just returned from a week at the Eleni Holiday village Cyprus. Our opinion on our experience. The pool is great, nice and clean and the gradient is good for children wanting to go further in. You can use pool inflatables and there is a lifeguard on most of the day. It lacks any toilets around the pool so we were going back to our room which is OK if you are close enough but if not then the ones avaliable are not great. The pool bar is ideal and in the shade with snacks avaliable until 6pm and it includes mini ice cream, slush and kids cocktails. The rooms are basic and in need of refurbishment but clean and we don't really spend anytime in them so fine for us. The beds were not the most comfortable. We had room 1811 with a sea and pool view on the first floor, it feels safe if you have little ones as its safety glass without any gaps and high enough so kids can't climb. If you want a bath take a plug as there is no plugs at all, we used a glass over it so had to be quick before the water dissapears but showers are warm and powerful enough. Take something with you to wash your cups in the room as they are not replaced by the cleaners. Also when the cleaners have been in your room they did not lock our patio doors so I would use the safe but you have to pay extra for that. We didn't need to use the aircon so I can't comment on that. The food was okay, you could make a meal out of the choices avaliable but if your expecting a big variety this is not the hotel for you. There is a choice of 5 desserts but fruit is also avaliable. We ate out once out of choice at the steak house Mamma's a short walk on the main road. It cost 100 euro for three people with drinks and is worth a visit. The area is a little far out and hasn't got a lot to do without catching a bus or taxi. Renting a car would be a better option if you wish to explore. It would be very easy to find all the negatives for this hotel but you get what you pay for and it was fine for us for a week but I wouldn't have stayed any longer personally. We wouldn't return but that's because we like to go to different places and have the options of walking out in the evening. Evening entertainment is mini disco, bingo and three shows throughout the week. The entertainment team all work really hard day and night as do all the other staff. Our 10 year old liked the kids club when she joined in but was too busy making friends in the pool most of the time. All in all we have had a nice week and we tend not to really listen too or write reviews usually, we make up our own mind on our experience. I wouldn't be put off by this hotel just don't expect 4 star or more and you will be fine.

Without a doubt probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, if you want customer service this is not the place, the hotel is dated, extremely dated, the food selection is very minimal, and the quality of the food was not great, trying to get a drink with any meal is a mission the staff are not courteous, not friendly or appear to want to help, if you try to get past the staff just glare and don't move aside. One server in the restaurant was extremely polite but the rest of the staff almost as if they did not want to be there. as to the beach bar staff certainly no smiles, or friendly attitude at one time the ice creams were literally thrown down, with no please or thankyou just a grimace. Our room was clean but the furniture probably 25 years old as was the mixed match furniture in the bars and restaurant. having to pay for a deposit for towels, safe key, hairdryer, these are the basics but not at Eleni Village. The air con was off in the reception when asked to turn it on....no............ If you want to change over sterling into euros a limit of ÂŁ20 per day per person so if you don't take euros and need it your not going anywhere... no staff to show you to the room,, get a map and get on with it. If like a drink with breakfast get it yourself... no table service.... the staff just appear to clear up or when they feel like it. Overall;; not a nice experience, not one that I could honestly recommend.
The pool was not cleaned inside various rubbish inside and loads of safety issues broken tiles, grating...an accident waiting to happen.

We have recently returned from the Eleni and had a fantastic 2 weeks. Yes the rooms are dated but we spend very little time in the room and it did not affect our wonderful 2 weeks. We had a kettle in the room which was cleaned almost daily.
Food was all beautifully cooked with plenty of choice at breakfast, dinner and tea. Each evening there was a theme section giving us chance to try new dishes. The pool snack bar offer food all day, burgers, Nuggets, pasta, toasties, chips, salad etc. At the pool bar is a help yourself bar tap for drinking water.
Pool was HUGE with an additional kiddie pool one water polo pool. We spent many hours in there to cool down.
Entertainment was varied with bingo, fire eating, dancers, karaoke, bird show etc. Alex the Entertainment Manager was great, so friendly with good advice regarding the locality.
All of the staff work so hard and are friendly and always happy to help.
We joined the Eleni Facebook page which was a great help for advice and recommendations. This gives live up to date info and people are always happy to answer any questions.
We coukd easily have paid more for our holiday and hota more modern hotel but can honestly say, it would not have made us have a better time, food or experience.

Hotel is spotless to begin with! The room attendants work so hard and all the poolside is hosed down daily, they collect cups as soon as you put them down which is great and means no rubbish anywhere . Yes the rooms are dated but who cares? The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean! The only advice I would give is, be careful with young children having showers etc because there is no signs to say the water gets VERY hot and cold, I would also recommend a shower mat in the bath as it’s quite slippy BUT my room was spacious, clean and the view was alright. Don’t expect miracles for what this hotel lacks in modern decor it makes up with awesome, attentive staff who are very helpful and will tell you all you need to know about the area and also some fun facts! Special shout-out to the bar manager Ronnie a real gent with very good local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble. Food is okay and the salads are lovely and fresh although I would venture out for food because I’m a little bit of a food snob but there’s plenty of it and it’s hot and fresh just the variety for me. I also recommend you bring a hairdryer which we sometimes take for granted and the safe in the room wasn’t working but all in all excellent value for money and great for families with children. Not so much a single holiday but I enjoyed the peaceful poolside and the white wine is decent what more could you want. Also they really do have a variety of entertainment and themed food nights which is needed because it is quite off the radar but I think this adds an endearing quality to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for couples and families who want a happy, sunny. Safe holiday that’s not in the thick of it but isn’t for the people who wish to go to bed at 10pm.

Before I go into detail I want to state that ultimately Jet2 are at blame for accepting this hotel as a package holiday.
I'll start with the good points, the room we had was clean and serviceable, staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Rooms - the air con in our room was broken, and when complained took a couple of hours for someone to fix it. The rooms, especially the bathroom are tired and the shower curtain was filthy. There were stains on the mattresses. Due to late flight home, we paid 60 euros for a room on the last day but had to change rooms however the air con stank of mouldy water. Luckily we got the room right where our sunbeds were so we were able to keep the patio door open. Food - according to the group, food was mostly good and tasty, however, being Gluten free, I struggled to eat some days but when I did eat the food was good. Other holidays I tend to stick with salad chips and carved meat but they didn’t serve carved meat it was all served in various sauces. That said, I always take my own bread and biscuits on holiday where ever I go. Lack of no gluten food resulted in meals bought out when All inclusive was already paid for. Entertainment - The entertainment was pretty poor standard. The reps from the Club Jumbo were never seen apart from 1 game in pool and so didn’t see the point of them. Other reps were friendly enough and the children’s entertainer Ester was lovely. The pool area was pretty clean, however lifeguard was always either asleep or watching his phone. One guest actually dived in to save a drowning child while the lifeguard slept on his chair in the shade! There were no where near enough sunbeds for all guests, several days all sunbeds were taken by 08:00! and although I’m an early riser and was up on my sunbed at 6am reading my book, the beds were being snapped up but very few people stayed on them. I was approached one day and told I couldn’t reserve before7am if I weren’t staying. I pointed to my book but never saw the man again the whole holiday. A token managing the sunbeds to say the least. Theres not much around the hotel apart from a supermarket which is a 5 minute walk away and taxis into the harbour range on average 20 euros each way. If you like strolling out in an evening, My advice would be to spend the extra taxi/bus money on a nicer hotel closer to Paphos harbour.
Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

I will start with the good points. We are a family of 9, 6 adults and 3 kids.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and the entrainment team work very hard to entertain the kids on what seems a minimal budget.
The buffet is not good at all it has themed nights but I think they missed the theme. It's fairly repetitive and would be a lot more inviting for fewer dishes done well and a station where fresh food is prepared in front of you. There are snacks 1030 until 5 but these are disappointing as often cold and hard.
All inclusive drinks are local spirits and include a list of cocktails.
The rooms are clean but again tired and need an uplift the beds are 6 out of 10 from a comfort level.
The rooms have air con and the rooms are cleaned daily.
The hotel is closing in October for a refurb. I would say not a 4* currently a two *.
This is well needed as the hotel is tired and definitely needs a face-lift.
Out and about...... The location description is inaccurate as there is very limited anything around the hotel there is an on-site supermarket.
There are also 2 further supermarkets in walking distance as well as 1 coffee bus.
There are a few restaurants Mama's steakhouse The fat fig Tibilisi A taverna and cafe Sapphires show bar with acts on each night and a pharmacy with two car hire places. But that is it ....... A taxi for 4 in to Paphos is 20 euros each way for a standard taxi.
There is a hotel down the road called the Leonardo Laura which has a Waterpark that you can book separately for the day to include all inclusive snacks and drinks for 25 euros for adults and 15 for kids.

We went to cyprus to attend a wedding at another hotel but it was out of our budget so booked this. Good price for all inclusive and the photos looked decent. The food was quite good, edible, standard all inclusive grub. Drinks were poor, no prosecco included. The Blue lagoon was a staple when staying because the rest were very average. The breakfast was also quite good, but don't ask for any special dietry requirements such as Gluten free bread, you will be served a rock after s bit of a grumble. The staff made us feel as though we were an inconvenience at best. One guy on reception did whatever he could to help us out, but the rest were quite rude. Apparently we werent allowed to rent pool towels before 3pm, which seems bizarre to me, so we had to use our room towels. Location is good for the beachfront walk and the bus into paphos and other attractions was easy to get and very frequent. Our room - we arrived at 11pm, the entertainment was ridiculously loud - louder than Ive ever experienced before and we heard it in our room. Thankfully it stopped about 10 minutes later, but we were really worried it was going to go on later. We paid for a 1 bed apartment but was given a studio. Our shower didnt work and the head was broken, there were no amenities in the room ie. Tes and coffee. We complained about this and we eventually got moved rooms the next day. The next room was nicer. It was a one bedroom, had 2 wardrobes, a fridge and some sofas. No amenities, but a couple of sandwiches and a bottle in a plastic bag in the fridge. Unsure if this was for us or previous occupants left it. No tea and coffee. There was stains on the couches and lampshades, no big light in the bathroom - only a very dull shaving light, so we had to pee and shower in almost darkness. Not ideal. The air con wasnt properly plumbed in so our first day in there we had a leak, this was promptly fixed and had no kore issues with it. There was lots of ants everywhere, but tbh they didnt really bother us too much, only if we dropped some crumbs. They mainly stayed on our balcony. We were promised ant powder and it never arrived. The soa was closed down and I had to attend the spa at another hotel and the gym had very little in it. The indoor swimming pool was closed down as they had taken all the tiles off the bottom and I assume getting ready to retile - but we were there for a week - I have no idea how long its been in that state. All in all, we did manage to enjoy our stay and I very much enjoyed the hotel entertainment for the nights we were there, but this isnt a 4 star hotel. If you know youre on a budget and thats all you need then it will do just fine, but we thought we were getting a bit more than that. The hotel itself needs a complete reno and a decent lick of paint. Its old and run down - possibly was nice at one point. Love holidays refused to change us to another hotel no matter how much we asked them. This was disappointing as we even offered to pay extra.

I booked this hotel for one night while I was on the runway , teach me not to read the reviews . As soon as we arrived the word “dump” come out my mouth. We had just left a 5 star hotel in another city to come here . The welcome was very nice , leave your suitcase at the side with everyone else’s , really safe !!!!, go get some lunch , check in is at 2 , it was 1.45 !!!!! The dining room is like something out of the 1960’s school dinner room , and everything is broken , food was just about ok , but if you want a drink you have to keep stopping the waiters and ask them , this is all inclusive the machines should be there to help yourself Pool was ok - but you have pay for the towels , pay for the hairdryer , pay for the safe key , decent drinks are add on ones , the list goes on The grass area of the pool is so overgrown you can’t see your feet , don’t think the grass has been cut in months Snacks at pool bar , only one bar open during the day , drinks are limited, good ones all are extra Omg the rooms , think late 60’s gross Bed is so soft woke up with back ache Big gap under door so we have ants in our room , bathroom gross , towels disgusting, glad I bought my own , soap bottles of soap filthy Would never stay here again , paid enough for one night , when will I learn - stay away
