We arrived for a week's holiday at this hotel. When we walked through the doors the hotel was very spacious and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given a room on the top floor having requested it beforehand. This superior room was really quiet, very spacious and very modern. It had a large TV on the wall and a very long dressing table top which I thought was an extremely good idea. The only downside on that was there was no lighting at that side of the room which was very disappointing especially for a woman who sits at the mirror doing makeup or hair. The only good light to do this was in the bathroom. The bed was very comfy and very large. I liked the bathroom which was a good size and my husband especially like having the bath as well as the shower which was over the bath. You have to pay 17 euros for the safe which I found strange. Also you have to pay 24 euros if you want WiFi in your room. You can access this in the public areas for free but beware it is very slow. Now to the meals which we went All Inclusive. They were excellent apart from the food which was supposed to be hot, usually was only moderately warm especially the soup. Myself and several other guests continually complained about this. You can only get wine and beer served in the restaurant along with non-alcoholic drinks. No cider!!!!
If you want to go into Paphos you will have to go in by the 615 bus which costs 1.50 euros each journey as it is too far to walk. They seem to run quite often and you catch them on the main road at the top of the hotel grounds. You can purchase a day ticket for 5 euros where you can hop on and off various buses.

The grounds of the hotel are large and spacious with 3-4 outdoorswimming pools and a good sized indoor pool as well.

The one thing we found really annoying was the fact that guests would use their mobile phones in the lounge on speaker and expect everyone to put up with their very loud conversations which we thought was extremely rude.
My husband and I would certainly go back to this hotel but for us only in January or February. It would be extremely noisy in Summer as they have a waterpark etc.for children.

Just got back from here, after a 1 week stay. Checked in at reception , we were given our room key and directed to the lifts. We were given an A4 peice of paper advising us of meals times ect.
The room was spacious and clean and we had a room with sea view. Towels are changed daily and your bed is made daily. You are provided with small bottles of complimetanry shampoo , contintioner . shower gel and body cream Which is topped up by the housekeeper.
On arrival, in your room , you are given 1 bottle of water (between the two of us !! )If you want more water in your room you have to go to the bar take your empty water bottle and the bar staff will top it up for you.
You do get tea and coffee faciltiies in your room. On our arrival we had 2 tea bags 1 sachet of coffee and 2 tiny sachets of milk !! for 2 people , we had to ask for more at reception.
You also get bathrobes and slippers in your room , we didnt have the bathrobes in our room so we asked at reception and a housekeeper came with them.
The food is nice however is only luke warm , infact by the time you've got your food from the self serve buffet and get sat back in your chair some of your food is almost cold . there is a lot of choice though something for everyone. When your seated for evening meal your asked what drinks you would like however after that if you want another drink with your meal you have to try and attract the attention of the staff as they do not come back and ask if you would like another drink / refil.
The pool was freezing however it is January !!
The hotel itself i thought was quite isolated , it overlooks the oceon and is very scenic , you can catch a bus to the beach. We walked to paphos from the hotel along the sea edge footpath , the ground is a little rough at times over the rocks so not good for people with mobility problems.
We did get talking to another holiday maker who told us about some exercise classes held in the mornings , it would of been nice if reception can tell you things like this on your arrival.
Overall we did have a relaxing holiday , the hotel is nice, food is nice just not very hot if you struggle with walking I wouldn't recommend this hotel, as I thought it was abit isolated from shops, bars and the beach. I would not say this hotel is a 5 star , I have stayed in 5 stars before which included a mini bar ect and better service from staff.

Great location and good buffet food although it is only luke warm, plenty of choice though the kids menu of chips spaghetti and bolognese/tomato sauce is repeated at lunch and dinner every day, now we are visiting in February which is the coldest slowest month of the year for Cyprus, and this may be a factor in the kids menu it is also the reason the on site water park and all the jacuzzi' are not operating.
We booked a superior room which is comfortable, however it is in need of some TLC, and is looking a little dated to say the least and for this reason this hotel only just got a 4 star rating, we would like to come back in April/May or September just to see how it compares.
We were all inclusive and I have to say the drinks are definitely local and poor, along with the cocktails, and free wifi is only in the lobby, if you want it in your room its €10/day or €24/7days, and it's not the best as it keeps dropping out.
In summary it's a nice place and comfortable but only just a 4 star.

just returned from a second visit to this Hotel last time two years ago.Staff very helpful food is good but can be a bit repetitive all inclusive good value for money.Used the indoor pool was very pleasant.Gym according to reports is very good did not visit the spar this time . The rooms are very spacious and are cleaned every day toiletries are provided as well as slippers and bath robes . When we checked in we were given a room over looking the water park we asked if they could move us to a sea view room as that is what my husband thought he had booked ! ,the next day we were moved to a sea view room at no extra cost and I would recommend a sea view as it is worth it. The only thing I could fault were the pillows very flat had to double over to get good support.

I’m currently staying in this hotel for my mother wedding, half the lifts don’t work due to being broken, light flickering in the halls that need fixing, children buffet choice very poor, chicken nuggets, spag bowel and chips every night. When arrived got put into a corner room, which our view was a pile of mud, with two twin beds, stuck together and put you up bed for my 7 year old that looks like it was about to collapse and a put you up cot, safe to say didn’t have room to swing a cat! We got upgraded to a family after being upset with the room, much better room, stil small but lovely view, only problem we now have little red ants everywhere! One bonus is when you call reception they send up handy man to fix your problems! Staff not warm or really helpful. Have pay for snacks at the snack bar, €15 for cheese and ham toastie! if you want snack in the main restaurant Well good luck it’s just chips, onion rings and more chips! We are all inclusive and the food choice is poor, you should be able get snack for snack bar for free! And have a better choice at that. The rooms aren’t fit for a five star hotel, and they don’t leave bottles of water for arrival or even anything in the mini fridge, they charge you €2:10 for bottle of water that’s not included in your all inclusive either, which is a joke I’ve never stayed in a hotel all inclusive you have pay for water. This the first review I have ever wrote and I’m normally a laid back person, but I can’t believe this is a five start, I’m shocked!

We arrived on 5th February 2020 for a one week stay at this hotel. Unfortunately the weather has not been good, but because there are no shops or bars near the hotel you realise Ona cold rainy day there is little to do. The food whilst being of a good selection, is lukewarm at best due to being kept in Bain Marie’s, so if like us you like your food hot, this is not the hotel for you. The room was fine but for some reason the cleaner never washed the cups. If your room faces onto the outside bar area you will be kept awake by loud shouting, as folk get drunker and go outside to smoke. I think we had to call reception almost every night to complain and only on some occasions was the problem fixed. Also you have to pay €21 for an in room safe for a week, plus €25 a week if you want WiFi in your room, but that only covers two devices, you also have to pay for water, even though you are all inclusive. Not a hotel I would go back to.

This was our second stay at King Evelthon, having visited back in 2015. The hotel is still as impressive as it was the first time when it was only one year old. We had an issue with our original room, however this was quickly resolved and we were offered a new room which was perfect. In general, the facilities are still brilliant, including the pool areas and the inclusive water park. After asking, we were also given a courtesy room to shower and change before our flight home (checkout is at 12:00pm but we weren’t being picked up until 6:30pm). We had the same cleaner everyday (Irena) who was very friendly and did a great job. The only downsides we experienced were the WiFi was very hit and miss depending on whereabouts we were in the hotel and we had to reconnect several times on some days. We encountered a surly restaurant manager who was quite rude about the hand sanitiser when we had already used this on entry, we were told to resanitise immediately again when walking just a few steps to the buffet. It was like being told off for being naughty children! We had no issues with this as we appreciate the importance of preventing the spread of the virus; however there was no manager to be seen on our final day when a large influx of new guests descended in the dining room for breakfast and no social distancing was taking place. We were not comfortable at this point as up until then the hotel was relatively quiet. The food had been scaled down in choice massively since the last time we stayed, however I presume this has been done due to the reduced amount of guests this year. Unfortunately we felt the food quality was not as good as previously and it was very repetitive. We ate out on a number of occasions just for some variety. The drinks staff were very friendly and attentive, especially in the evenings. Natasha was particularly nice and made us smile with her chat and banter, returning with more drinks before we had ordered them! The young lady in the restaurant everyday was also very friendly and Diego the restaurant waiter was very attentive and polite. The a la carte Greek and Italian restaurants were superb and Reka was a great host at the Italian, as was our host at El Greco. The Greek in house restaurant menu was superb, very filling and delicious. Unfortunately the Mexican restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay and the Greek and Italian restaurants and rooftop bar were closed on some evenings which meant the only place to go was the main outdoor area / lobby bar. The man doing the bingo and entertainment was friendly and engaging, however the entertainment was aimed mainly at the children. There were some singers in the lobby bar on an evening, some good, others not so much. One nice touch was having our all inclusive status extended up until we left for the airport, not something we have experienced in other hotels. Overall, we still enjoyed the hotel experience, unfortunately the food lets it down and I would say it is more like a four star than a five star due to this. Everything else made it an enjoyable stay.

Me and my husband have just returned from 10 days here at this hotel.
Here is what we thought.
Rooms : these were actually really lovely, ours was a double with sea view, on the 4th floor and was spacious and although the beds were a little firm, we slept well, plenty of wardrobe space, and drawers, a little fridge, that came stocked with soft drinks and water, and tea/coffee refilled daily, cleaned daily and fresh towels, just one issue and that's the cleaners can start at 7.30 am and arent quiet, but we had earplugs.
Food: we found it very good, different theme each night, and although not piping hot it was still warm.
Breakfast was delicious, and there was pretty much food on offer all day, we did get a little bored towards the end of our holiday, and ate out twice, we also made use of the roof top italian restaurant twice, which was delicious, and included in our all inclusive package, but closed last week for the season.
Location: this is where we felt a little let down, it isn't on the beach, only rocks, if you want a beach walk left down the promenade for about 15/20 minutes, or catch the bus to coral bay, takes 15 minutes.
You can also get the bus to paphos harbour in the other direction, takes 10 minutes, all trips cost €1.50 each.
We loved the hotel, but will probably stay nearer the centre, which is not a negative for the hotel, just a personal thing for us.
Entertainment is ok, the usual bingo, kids disco, karaoke, a few live singers who were fabulous, and a great fun movie quiz.
We found the choice of all inclusive drinks was amazing, loads of cocktails, wine spirits beer and pretty much every thing else.
Pools: these were lovely, cold in the outside one, but the indoor one is lovely and warm.
There is also security each night, which is reassuring.
All in all we loved the hotel, would probably just move it nearer to the centre, but again, personal preference for us.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms are lovely and there is an indoor pool area. First impressions are wonderful. However, there are a lot of improvements to be made at this hotel. The hotel has a gym and an indoor pool area - we were there for eleven days and during this time the hotel was filled with FIFA football teams - this
was fine but at mealtimes it was bedlam when everyone got up together for the buffet. It was very annoying to find the gym closed for several hours at a time for these footballers to train. We are all paying guests and should be able to use the facilities during any of the opening times.
The pool area was covered in insects for several days and were not cleaned up regularly. The lady at the pool bar though had lovely service and was very friendly.
She was English and her name wasTasha. A little boy nearly drowned and hurt his foot and she came from behind the bar and attended to him and was lovely.

This cannot be said for the senior staff in the dining room. Several times we were ignored and when my husband went to ask for some water or wine with our meal he was told quite rudely to go and sit at his table. You could sit for half an hour before anyone would attend. One of the senior lady's one evening came back with the water glasses and slammed them on the table knocking my wine which I just caught in time. The normal waiters were very nice and polite.

Considering this is advertised by King Evelthon as a five star hotel, there are no sparkling wines on the package. Very unusual. The cocktail list was extensive but they were all served with really sickly juices which was almost like pure cordial.

With a few tweaks this hotel could be really lovely as the views are good and pool areas fabulous. In January it is not possible to swim in the outdoor pools but we knew this before we went. Non of the extra restaurants were available out of season and the entertainment was limited to bingo and usually a local singer with shuffleboard and yoga and aquaclasses during the day.

The hotel claims 5 stars and it comes close but the bar/ lobby furniture needs renewal , not comfortable . The one open restaurant food was excellent, plenty of choice and fresh vegetables and fruit , desserts very tempting. , we had good service too from the waiters. The football players were quiet and polite and all hotels seem to,have them at this season. , The wines were reasonable and good , we were not all inclusive. The beds were very comfortable and . the room was quiet , clean and spacious , the balcony sunny facing east BUT there was a building site next door just beginning The lighting in the room was a bit dim and elsewhere it had a curious blue tint . . The bus to Paphos or Coral Bay was at the end of the drive and stopped at Lidl too. Bars and restaurants mostly closed for the winter locally. There was nice music a couple of nights in the bar but the evening " entertainment " was mostly bingo and disco and far too loud .There was no quiet room for card players, games or reading The hotel is huge and geared for children and it would not be suitable for us when full in season , We enjoyed walking along the seafront path and bus trips to the local sites of antiquities . All fares £1.50 . The hotel seems to have improved greatly from other reviews but probably not suitable for a return visit for us .

there is plenty of room and plenty of lifts, if you've not booked yet check the reviews as it's not 5 star more like 3 and it a bit out of the way as well. so if you want to get out and about on a scooter I'd think about somewhere nearer to shops and other fcilities unless your just going to hang about the hotel while your there, there are ramps down to pool areas and while i was the last mother thre wa a guy there who had a specially adated chair which he was able to get down to pool area
