Great location near town and sea, freshly cooked breakfast, super bed, clean and comfortable and at a great price. The owners could not be more helpful. Would definitely recommend it. The car park is an added bonus.

Stayed here with 7 year old child, lady in her 40s, and another in her mid 60s. Room 18 was a quiet room at the end of the corridor. We didn't hear any noise at all. Lovely spacious clean room. Bathroom did not have a bath, was quite cosy, but did have a shower cubicle. Ample free parking on site,...

Our triple and adjoining rooms are perfect for mixed age groups, you can request a bath if you prefer when you book. I am unsure why your breakfast wasn't good usually we have great reviews for breakfast, so my apologies.

This is a large old building. It needs some expensive repair and I feel that the cost of this reflects the owners problems. The costly staff costs have been pared and this shows in (a) the breakfast room where the single staff works very hard to cater to guests. (b) the housekeeping staff again work hard to service the many...

Thanks for your feedback! you are right, the building is a constant worry and as you saw we had scaffold up for the room during your stay. This has been fixed and scaffold removed. Good news for the wi-fi, we have been able to upgrade this week, so should be better for everyone. Our tanks have all been cleaned and...

The Sheldon is situated in a quiet side street very close to the Promenade. It has 11 steps up to the hotel so would not be easy to access for severely disabled guests. Staff are friendly and helpful, both in reception and at breakfast. We had a superior room on the first floor. The room was spaceous and beds extremely...

We are confused as to which room you stayed in? We are always working hard to keep things in order and do indeed shampoo carpets very regularly. We are very clear on all our websites that we have 11 steps to the front door and when guests leave special requests mentioning any form of mobility we are always quick to...

I did not get around to review The Sheldon earlier. We have stayed here already twice which I suppose speaks for itself. Our first room was very large in the "basement" with separate entrance and looking out on the rear car park. That did not bother us. The room was very comfy and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom was great,...

I stayed here with my partner for 1 night. The hotel is in a great location, a 2 minute walk to the seafront, and 5 minute walk to town centre. The car park is at the rear of the building. We were given a family room downstairs, which was large, well furnished and very clean. Although in basement room had...

It is a tricky time of year for heating! Our heating is now on for the winter season and can be controlled in individual rooms using the thermostats on the radiators.

We stayed here on August Bank Holiday for just one night. For the amount we payed it was an excellent deal. The room was neat and tidy, although a little small, the ensuite was more than good enough for our needs. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a highly recommended hotel.

Had the opportunity to stay at The Sheldon last night, whilst visiting Eastbourne. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a full English with proper bacon, well cooked with a choice of how you want your eggs cooked. Staff were courteous and polite. Location was close to the seafront and a 5-10 minute walk to the pier and the...

Hotel is in a great location, close to the beach and downtown, has its own parking. We stayed in a family room, sofa bed was suposed to be for 2 kids (up to 15) however in reality it was not good even for one teenager. Room was wet. Whilst the stay overall was ok we were a bit shocked when...

Thanks for taking the time to feedback. We are not a hotel, but a bed and breakfast! We are family owned and run and I am proud my son takes an interest. This is our home and yes we sometime pad about in bare feet as you would in your home. The sofa beds are suited up to age 12...
