I've stayed here on a number of occasions and it has always exceeded expectation. The owners are friendly and go far beyond the call of duty (offering very early breakfast for a friend running the Brighton Marathon). Very good value, great location and delicious breakfast with attentive hosts. Stay here if you're in Eastbourne!

We arrived the day after my partner broke his shoulder and when we were greeted we were given so much help. The bed was very comfortable if not for John with his shoulder. The breakfast was lovely and John even had his cut up for him! Would definitely stay again!

If you are attending anything at the Winter Gardens/Congress theatre then this hotel is ideally situated - just a short walk - and very close to the sea too! My requirements from a B&B tend to be fairly simple - a decent bed, and a decent breakfast - and the Arden delivers well on those - with a great choice...

We arrived Arden guest house from the railway station in the early afternoon. Tracy was very welcoming and had no hesitation in letting us in early. She gave us information on the attractions of Eastbourne and also recommended eateries. The breakfast was excellent - just what we needed prior to starting the South Downs Way. Our room was clean and...

Excellent room, smallish but extremely neat and clean. Found this room using the local tourist office in Eastbourne. The hosts, Ray and Tracey, are extremely helpful and pleasant hosts. Nothing is too much to ask of them. Hotel is located within 1 block of the seafront. Remarkably filling breakfast with a huge choice of options. All presented freshly made and...

Arrived to a lovely warm welcome and a room upgrade so it was a smashing start. Room 7, a twin on the 2nd floor (lots of stairs) at the back was lovely and clean. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of hot water but a bit strange with the sink being in the way of the shower panel...

friendly welcome by owners, lovely breakfast especially on the 2nd morning but room 3 was extremely claustrophobic, far too small for two people, we stayed 2 nights but that was one evening too long. But it was a perfect location for the tennis.

After a weeks of travelling around Europe and staying in various B&Bs and guest houses of dubious standards, it was an absolute pleasure to arrive at the Arden Hotel and be received so warmly by Tracey and her husband, Ray. They are wonderfully warm people who have created a beautiful haven in Eastbourne. Everything was immaculate and spotlessly clean, and...
