Rooms not very clean and smelled musty. Unfortunately the weather was bad but preferred to walk around in the bad weather than spend...

I've given the hotel 4 stars because it's comfortable, clean and well run. The sequence dancing weekend, however, was disappointing . The Friday night, hosted by Gill was fine; she made a conscious effort to include all of the different groups of people in the dancing. Saturday night, hosted by Ian was another matter. He continually called dances that our...

We have been holding our Church Weekend at the Queens for the last 10 years. We were a little concerned as to whether it would be as good this year under the new owners. We needn't have worried as small changes enhanced our enjoyment. The management are updating rooms, the food is as plentiful as ever and the staff cannot...

Just arrived back home after a four day break at the Queens. Lovely break, good location, the rooms need abit of updating, but the price we paid we are not complaining. Room was warm and clean, food excellent. Would recommend to anyone. As it was abit quiet in the hotel, we visited The Somerset Hotel in the evening for the...

Stayed here for a night as it worked out cheaper than an AirBNB. Breakfast wasn't included, but there are plenty of cafés around town. The room was OK, clean, a little small (the two chairs were unnecessary) and dated. Shower was little more than a tickle - the taps were more powerful. The bed was really comfortable though. Limited free...

This hotel is in a great position on the Promenade and does provide value for money. The food is good albeit a simple and limited menu. The Hotel was, however, far too hot for us and the Bedroom which was on the front of the Hotel with wonderful sea views had a serious problem with ageing single glazed wooden sash...

Went for snack lunch. Ordered cheese melt and tongue sandwich from menu. Told they no longer did tongue so changed to ham. Coffees arrived promptly but food took 20 minutes to come. The sandwich was ok, though using yesterday's bread, but the cheese melt was on a baguette that had been over-microwaved and was so hard it could not be...
