We stayed at this hotel for two nights in a ground floor room due to my mum’s disability.
The room was spotlessly clean and it was very spacious.
The walk in shower was powerful, but could sometimes alternate between hot and cold, although this was not a massive problem I would certainly book this room again.
The customer service in the restaurant was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The hotels location is great, I can definitely say we will be returning especially for the hotel food. The food was fantastic and I have never tasted hotel food like it!All three courses were delightful and you also receive a complimentary glass of house wine with your meal.
The fillet steak served with chips and a peppercorn sauce etc and the pork loin dinner were absolutely spot on.
You also got a great selection of cheeses and biscuits when you ordered this for pudding, they certainly don’t scrimp.
They also do a help yourself buffet breakfast and this was also cooked to perfection, the food was fresh and you could request any type of eggs you like.I would recommend poached eggs all the way, lovely orange yolks with a soft centre.
The only thing that let us down during our stay was the evening entertainment, the young lady singer had a great voice and was good at what she does, but the way the room is laid out there was no atmosphere and people were not comfortable to get up and dance.

After several day trips to Llandudno, we decided to stay overnight (20th August). One hotel that stood out was the Merrion, which is located on the front and very close to the centre. It also helped that my parents had just had an enjoyable stay here as well.
We arrived mid-morning and managed to get a parking spot to the side of the hotel, which was ideal. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful, but as we arrived around 12:30pm (Check in was 2pm) we decided to have a walk around Llandudno and returned just before 2pm to check in. We were then fortunate to get an upgrade, which was great.
The rooms were spotless and what was also good was that all the power sockets in the room had USB sockets, which definitely came in useful. The bed was very comfortable. We were unsure whether to eat in the hotel or eat out, but after viewing the menu, we decided to go for the 3-course meal in the hotel. There was plenty of choice, and we both opted for the scampi tails starter, rib eye steak for our main meal, followed by tiramisu. I have to say each course was excellent with a good portion size. The meal also included coffee in the lounge area. There is also entertainment in the lounge area. The singer on this particular night (Sunday) was very good.
Breakfast was also excellent. There was a good choice of Cereals and fruit, and also plenty of choice from the hot food counter, where you could have as much as you wanted; with eggs cooked to your liking. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the hotel owners (Gareth and Paul), who despite being very busy, were more than happy to engage with us and other guests.
We could not fault the hotel and hopefully we will be returning for a longer stay at a future date.

Just spent another great relaxing time at this wonderful hotel situated on the seafront. Reception staff greet you with a lovely warm homely welcome and check you in very quickly. All the staff in the hotel are very professional, and nothing is too much trouble for them if you ask for anything. Rooms are always kept immaculate through your stay and the tea tray in the bedrooms are refreshed every day. Breakfast and evening menus are brilliant and you will find it difficult to not find something on the menus to satisfy you. Bar staff excellent as well and the entertainment in the evenings is excellent. All I can say is if you are looking for an excellent place to stay on holiday in Llandudno then be sure to stay at this wonderful family run hotel. I’ve been staying here for over ten years now. Thank you Paul,Gareth and everyone for a lovely time and stay again and for all your care and attention.

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a less than helpful member of staff behind the desk who checked us in. We explained to the lady that we had parked outside the hotel but we're going to move as we were in the coach bay. Not once did she mention a hotel car park, we ended up having to park in a car park costing us £17 for the night and only after we paid the cost and looked in the information brochure in the room did we realise that there was a hotel car park. We went up to the room and soon realised that we were right above the main door entrance which was slamming shut every time someone opened it, the lift was right outside our room which wasn't good, we requested to move rooms, this was done promptly. However, we got moved to a smaller room with a balcony but this was blocked off and we were unable to use it. Also, we missed breakfast with it being so early in the morning, breakfast finishes at 9:30 most places keep breakfast open until past 10 o clock. Lastly, we had cleaners walking in our room at 8:45 which I thought was absolutely ridiculous considering check out is 11 o clock. They came in on two occasions so we felt rushed to leave.

My wife and I stayed for one night in early February. The location of the hotel is ideal, with a short walk to the pier and shops.

Check in was quick and easy. I booked a King room with a sea view and was not disappointed. The room was very spacious and clean with incredible views of the pier. I have stayed in a number of hotels along the promenade and the views from this hotel are the best by far of the pier. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature was just right and the shower was perfect. There are two chairs and a table located near the large bay window which we sat in during the evening admiring the incredible view of the pier and listening to waves crash onto the shore. Our safe was already locked when we got into the room and we also needed an iron and ironing board. I went down to reception and asked for the iron and advised about the safe and within minutes the safe was sorted and the iron was brought up to our room.

Breakfast was as advertised, it really was exceptional. There is a cereal area and being vegan I was able to get some soy milk. The cooked breakfast is available from a buffet area were you can get what you want. I had already messaged the hotel about being vegan and I asked the cook if they had any vegan sausages and they were able to cook them right away in minutes, 2 for me and 2 for my wife. There is a large range of cooked food, eggs, beans, mushrooms, hash browns, sausages, bacon in a large quantity. Plus when something did run out, it was replenished in minutes. The dining area is very large and spacious and although it was busy it did not feel over crowded. The views from the dining area of the pier are again incredible.

Parking was not an issue, we were able to park at the front of the hotel and later in the evening at the side. Although the hotel had a number of guests staying there, it was quiet and relaxing. Check out was again nice, easy and quick.

Overall it was a really enjoyable and relaxing stay, so much so we have booked to stay again in the near future and plan on staying at the hotel every year.

This is the second time we have stayed here and would gladly stay again.
It seems to be a very organised establishment with clean rooms, friendly hard working staff and some good chefs who cook and serve some very tasty dishes.
We stayed for four nights having traveled on a coach trip, you usually get seated in the dining room on the first night then keep the same table for the rest of the holiday.
We were one of the first in the dining room on the first night and shown to a table for six, the room filled up and the starters were served but no one took our order so we sat and waited as everyone finished their starters and the plates were being cleared I asked the waiter if we could order but he said not until the other 4 to the table arrived. By the time the others to our table arrived the rest of the diners were on their second course.
Why should we have been penalized for 4 late comers who we didn't even know. Thank fully on our second night the lovely waitress Vera took our order regardless of the late comers as she explained we actually were on a different number table for two but it had been pushed together with the table of four for some reason.
Other than this little hic up it's a perfect hotel.

On a mystery coach trip we ended up at Merrion for 3 nights. This absolutely made the weekend. My room was spotless with a very modern en-suite. The double bed was comfortable and the lovely soft white towels were changed on a daily basis.
As for the food, never have I experienced such a large choice on a half board basis holiday. Great choices for the evening meal and beautifully cooked food. Excellent sized portions. Breakfast was well organised and yet again a good choice with eggs cooked to order.
The only thing I will take next time is a clock.
There was entertainment every night.
Located on the front and close to facilities I will definitely stay again given the chance.

Having not long returned from a lovely restful time at this hotel. The hotel is ideally situated as across the road you have the seafront and pier and just around the corner not far away you have the shops.
The reception staff always have a warm welcome for you when booking in and the welcome theme carries on throughout the hotel. Food is excellent and the rooms and beds are comfy. As a traveller on my own I feel this is a hotel I can return to always. The hotel is so great that people book year on year to get a room at this hotel so they are not disappointed. Also entertainment in this hotel every night which is lovely to listen to are having dinner.
Thank you to Paul, Gareth and all the staff for the warm welcome I receive every time I visit.

The hotel is in a lovely position for shops and restaurants and a base for touring. Is facing the beach and has a canopied area with heating and waiting on service for lunches drinks or coffee. The food is excellent with lots of choice for breakfast (inc in price) The menu for dinner is very varied. Staff are really attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The only thing is the decor in some rooms needs updating but everywhere is spotlessly clean. I will definitely go again. WiFi free and no problems
Due to Covid rules every Room had 2 bottles of sanitizer and all meals served.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay in The Caernarfon Suite, as our usual bay window, first floor room was not available for our selected dates. The room had two windows with sea views and it was spacious, immaculate and stylishly furnished to a high standard. We were very comfortable and being on the third floor was no problem as the lift was only a matter of feet away. The food, as always, was outstanding with a large choice, all beautifully cooked and presented. Service was impeccable. The public areas were comfortable and the entertainment of a good standard. Morgan is a star and it's always a bonus when he is on one of our nights. All the staff members are friendly, helpful and efficient and will endeavour to humour any requests. It was quiet in the hotel for the first couple of days, a sign of these straightened times maybe, but was busier towards the end of our stay. Parking was no problem at all. This is an outstanding hotel, in the hands of Paul, Gareth and the great staff and I would highly recommend a stay here. Anne and Colin.
