The hotel is located opposite the promenade, overlooking the sea. We had a family room which was very spacious, clean, warm and comfortable and we had a sea view. The ensuite shower room was small and in need of refurbishment, but was adequate. Our meals were always served hot and were plentiful. Not a lot of choice but as they... More

Hotel on front beautiful views opposite bandstand. Hotel used for coach party's as well. Comfortable and clean. Food catering for party's. But fine. Entertainment good. We went as a couple and ended joining it with coach party's and had fun. A bit dated but would stay there again.

The day before we travelled to the Chatsworth Hotel I read a few reports on this site. Many reported having very poor experiences, I do not usually take much notice of these and keep an open mind, but I found that they were very much correct. The description about the Hotel having had major Restoration I find difficult to understand... More

Arrived in pouring rain and gale force winds. Two coaches arrived at the same time which resulted in queueing outside and cases left in the rain. A little thought could have had folk waiting in their coach until ready or opening another door. Agree with previous visitors, hotel tired but bedroom clean, plenty of tea, milk etc. In room. Bathroom... More

Staff were excellent and cant fault any of them as they were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very tired and dated and need updating extensively. Bed was very small and quite uncomfortable to be honest but overall for the price paid it was as expected. Breakfast came quick every morning and was ample and staff in breakfast room were... More

We arrived, independently, with two friends for a four night stay on 6th November. We had asked for rooms near a lift and were given them there. They were a bit tired but warm, spacious, very clean with a very comfortable bed. Generous quantities of milk, tea and coffee were provided Bathroom was very compact with an excellent shower. Parking... More

Having looked forward to this turkey/tinsel weekend break for some time, what a big letdown. On our arrival we were told that we would have to take our own cases into the hotel and up to our rooms as there was no-one available to do this. Bearing in mind that it was an oap club holiday no allowances were made.... More
