Estate Agents have long had a reputation for being economic with the truth, it appears that Easy hotels now exceed that. I booked a twin room with a window... You don't expect 5* opulence but you do expect to be able to move around the room without falling over the beds and the other occupant. there is no space to put your luggage apart from on the entrance walk way The bathroom is small and has half fablon frosting on the glass and no soundproofing.... There is no where to hang your towels anywhere in the room except for the two metal coat hangers on the wall... The lift tells you any service that you want from the hotel will cost more. Avoid this place and their recommended parking in the NCP at Ipswich Blackfriars, as the website doesn't make it clear that you have to book each night in the car park separately otherwise you will have to pay £7.50 per night... unless you plan to leave the car there 24/7. There are never any NCP staff in the "office" and if you try contacting the NCP call centre, you will probably have lost the will to live or expired before they answer, or indeed need medical assistance due to the shock of them responding. I would not call the car park secure. The hotel rarely answer the phone if you call them - and indeed the phone will simly cut you off if they cant be bothered to respond. If you are a UK traveler make sure you take your passport or other photo ID with you as they demand this at check-in and won't accept the card you booked on. They talk gibberish at you and do not provide two key cards, so if one of you leaves the room the other has to meet you at reception to access your room. It's not in the most salubrious area of Ipswich as why else do the employ not one but two security guards.... There is no vehicle access so you have to walk through what can only be described as ladies of the night. Carting all your luggage from the non secure NCP car park where they have a deal... The air conditioning in the room changes back to 22 degrees and you can only get it down to 19 and no lower, and then displays error messages. There is no paper or plastic cup in the room so you have to take your own... The hotel only offers a vending machine in the reception area. There is no option of food on site. I am not sure who the hotel is aimed at.... But I would never stay there again…
I will give it 10-10 and I would like to came and stay again as the people were every helpful and nice and there is same there to talk too 24 hours night and day so I would tell anyboby to stay at the hotel x
Great service and room cleanliness. Staff where very understanding when i explained to them that i had made a double booking by mistake. The next morning i received a refund for the room i booked in error.
For the price we paid of around £40 it was clean with a decent bed and nice shower facility. It is well located in the town with discounted parking available when booked in advance for around £3.50 for 24 hours. The only problem we faced was that check in took a very long time so we had to take out cases and go away to our dinner reservation otherwise we would have missed our pub booking. We returned 2 hours later and they had sorted out check in and gave our key right away. We would use again if in the area.
Worst hotel ever in 55 years of regularly having to stay in hotels. It was one of 4 hotels I stayed in on this trip - all budget. Campanile in Liverpool, Premier Inns in Wolverhampton and Travellodge in Cambridge wer eall excellent. This was absolutely horrendous. No kettle so, if you wanted a coffee you had to pay £2 from a machine in foyer. TV £5 extra a night, wi-fi £5 extra. Parking in NCP nearby. Stelios ought to spend a night at his hotel just to see how awfully poor it is.
