I stayed at this hotel as a photographer booked for a wedding at this venue. First impressions were really positive. I was allowed a very early check-in and staff were very helpful to carry some of my equipment (very heavy) to my room. My room was very clean and tidy, and had recently been refurbished.Although close to a main road,...

Booked a short stay at this hotel via secret escapes. Our deal was absolutely superb value for money at just £99 for dinner, bed and breakfastfor two people. The refurbished hotel room was lovely, the food plentiful and enjoyable but for me the outstanding hotel feature was the staff who were lovely, helpful, attentive and gave the impression that nothing was...

Recently stayed here in a refurbished room. A bit small but there are other rooms much larger. Restaurant is also new and breakfast was great! Room was a bit hot but that is often the case in many hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Last visited this hotel for a wedding 30 years ago. Went for a Sunday lunch last week, aware that this had changed hands, undergone a refurb and was run by a family. We parked in a really nice area which was overlooking well tended gardens which it seems that the rooms overlook. Had a drink before lunch in a quiet...

Firstly, I would say that this is not an awful hotel. To the contrary, I actually really like the majority of staff - and they have done a lot of work to modernise this nice building in the Old Town. I have stayed here before - but very frequently head to the bar area to do work paperwork at a...

The Cromwell is a beautiful historic hotel in the centre of Old Stevenage which has recently been renovated & offers absolutely lovely bedrooms of a very high standard. I attended a Murder Mystery evening with friends and the whole event was great fun. The meal was also very good particularly taking into account the scale of the event & I...

Our first visit to Stevenage. The hotel is ideally situated in the old town and has a large, free, secure car park at the rear. We were welcomed by a friendly Receptionist and directed to our room. We were informed that the hotel had recently undergone a substantial refurbishment programme - our bedroom and bathroom were of a high standard...
