Although the purpose of the visit was a sad occasion we cannot speak highly enough of the service and room we were given for a funeral lunch. We booked the Brownsea room which overlooks the chain ferry. There was a charge to book the room for the day and a choice of different menus for the buffet. Fortunately it was...

Booked for a quick surprise for the kids! We had a family room with seperate with bunk beds. We was truly surprised how lovely this hotel is. However it does need a little decoration but not enough to put us off. Right on the beach.. Next to the ferry port. Lovely walk along beach to kids play area ect. Indoor...

Wonderful location. Small room. Disappointing bathroom especially the small bath with shower - especially annoying plastic curtain and dangerous stepping in and out. Overcharged twice. Once in restaurant for food not served, again in the bar. Disappointing restaurant service - dessert forgotten, soup served cold, lamb not cooked as requested even though asked for preference Room made up too late...

I guess the title says it all but I will elaborate- the view is exactly that 5 star, stunning location and as such I had expected so much more! The service from most staff was mediocre at best, one or two stood out but for the most it wasn't great. In fact the warmest treatment we got was when we...

Ate here recently . Lovely location and the food was lovely but let down by two things. The choice of steep sided bowls for a starter that you needed a knife and fork to eat which made it really difficult. The service started ok but then vanished as more tables came into use. The staff never returned to pour the...

Stayed here from the 1 st to the 3 rd of may . The location of the hotel is perfect with lovely views. We booked a sea view room with a balcony and I agree it was a bit pricey but lovely to wake up to the view each morning. The communal areas in the hotel are lovely, the restaurant...

We have visited the restaurant at this hotel many times and have always been happy with the food and service. We revisited on May Bank Holiday Sunday and were pleased to secure a table without booking despite the rude attitude of the restaurant manager. The restaurant was unbearably hot, with fires at full blaze despite the mild climate. It was...

We had a budget double room (that was the only room left). While the price was not budget at all, the room lacked many comforts, there was no fridge, no safe, no slippers were provided. And there was no air conditioner controller, so it was too warm during the night. The pool, the steam room and the sauna are nice,...

It's an ok affair, but in desperate need of investment. Over salted food, a restaurant that could double as kiln (and I'm not fat), seating that is not that comfortable, but overall the service is excellent and the staff very polite and kind. Prices are fairly hefty, 250 ml house white, a Baileys and a packet of crisps are £17....

What a wonderful resturant, the food was superb, the views were breathtaking. We meet one of the chefs called Simon he really did a wonderful meal for 11 of us. Every thing about the evening was a success. Please do not hesitate to book a table there. It is a great place.

The Haven Hotel is a luxurious four-star spa hideaway. Perched at the tip of the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula in Poole and surrounded by sea and sand. With direct access to seven miles of beaches and just a couple of steps away from Purbeck over the Shell Bay chain ferry. It’s your gateway to South Coast adventure. Featuring elegant and spaciously designed bedrooms with modern creature comforts. Many of which offer ocean view balconies, so that you can embrace the sea air in your pyjamas. We believe that these naturally beautiful surroundings deserve food that’s a little special. La Roche at the Haven Hotel offers an ambient place to dine. Highly acclaimed by locals and recognised for first-class service and exceptional quality with two prestigious AA-Rosettes. Maintained by the talent and skill of Head Chef Jason Hornbuckle. When the Sandbanks sun shines, our terrace is an enviable spot for alfresco dining. You can literally hear the waves crashing as you recline with a glass of wine. Relaxation is often thought of as a luxury; at the Haven Spa we think it’s a necessity. Haven Spa is a sanctuary to unwind your mind and come to your senses. Stroll from the indoor hydrotherapy pools to the chic outdoor heated pool, complete with sea view Jacuzzi and sun lounger area.
