To answer my own question in case it helps any other travellers planning a visit! 1. Dogs (domestic pets) charged at £20 per stay - no charge for Guide/Assistance dogs. You find this information by starting to make an actual booking! Whilst you can talk to a hotel in person, all bookings have to be made through the website. 2. Accessing local roads to YSP without going on the M1. The very helpful lady on duty, who rang me back when the national Travelodge number dropped the connection to the hotel, assured me that there is a service bridge that you can drive over to access local roads. She also said that it doesn't matter whether you stay on the northbound or southbound side as the service bridge is still available to access.

Thanks for taking time to ask questions before you stay with us. There is a good fish and chip restaurant the next junction up the motorway about a mile away. If you ring the hotel on 0203 1954966 and give the reception your confirmation number we can ensure that your room has got the 2 pull out beds made up for your arrival. We offer a breakfast box at the hotel but if you require a cooked breakfast the northbound service area does a cooked breakfast or two junctions down the M1 there is a Toby carvery that do breakfast.
