We were there for a family birthday and it was brilliant. Family from North and South all met up as well as friends. All the staff in the hotel were pleasant, professional and friendly. The party was in the royal garden suite. What a lovely room. We had a buffet meal which was perfect and there was plenty of it....

My husband and I have stayed at the Royal on a number of occasions with family and friends, the organised tribute weekends are usually particularly good and if the weather is bad you don't even have to leave the hotel , the food is beautiful and there are plenty of bar snacks available in the daytime at very reasonable prices...

9 of us went Friday to Monday for an entertainment weekend. We had lovely rooms and the food was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Wine prices were good for a hotel. A good time was had by all!

We are no strangers to the royal often pop in for a drink..Here to open up caravan next day..There are good things and bad things about the royal.. Reception bars restaurants are quite nice..Bedroom was ok with original features and wot I call shabby chic and a massive balcony..I would have gave 4stars except for the minor faults no hot...

a friend told us we booked and very delighted with friendly staff and the ease of which my disabled dad cpuld go around the hotel 5* plus from me we booked for xmas twix mas and new year 2017 rooms are well up to date would recomend to any one to go try it ypu wont be dissapointed

Another lovely stat here. Made very welcome by the staff. Lovely seaview room. We ate in the Viceroy restaurant and the meal was delicious. Breakfast was as expected and we enjoyed our selves very much. Thankyou.

Stayed as a group of 4 in two rooms. Arrived and went to the bar, this is well equipped and suitable for its purpose, plenty of seating areas for all guests. Reasonably priced and a really pleasant time. Only issue we faced is asking for bar staff when we were sat there as they don't have dedicated bar staff on...

We went as 2 couples (long time friends) and we all had a good time.Good food and staff are very helpful.Anything you need is only a request away,just ask and it will happen.they want you to enjoy your stay.
