A good place to stay; very clean and comfortable. I was looking for somewhere convenient to the motorway from a trip up to Scotland and this suited. Warren was very welcoming and was keen to ensure that I was comfortable. He made a good recommendation for dinner. I needed to be away early in the morning and he brought breakfast...

I stayed in the single room at Crossroads house on my way up to Scotland with my dog. The B&B was easy to find and conveniently situated just off the M6 in a rural area. The owners were welcoming and kind, the room clean and comfortable with all amenities provided for and the breakfast was delicious! Very well cooked :)...

Being a truck driver, there is times that I run out of driving time. My company booked me in for an overnight stay last night (12.APR.17) as I could not make my delivery in time. I was met by Warren who was very helpful and attentative and was shown to my room personally. The rooms are very clean and do...

This is a small B&B, just 5 rooms. The hosts, Sue & Warren, have set up an excellent business nearly in the wilds of Cumbria. The room I had was very comfortable and well provided for. Excellent toiletries, with coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the room. Good freeview TV and a very comfortable bed. The crowning glory though was...

Stayed one night on business, breaking a journey from Edinburgh to Yorkshire. Easy to find from M6 although a fair way out of Carlisle itself. My single room was good value, clean and confortable, although the mattress was a bit tired. Friendly owners, good cooked breakfast. Much, much better than a room at a motorway services - I'll be using...

Arrived late and left early next morning - in between we were looked after very well by Sue and Warren. Slept well and enjoyed a very good breakfast. Will stay again on our way to our holiday home in the Scottish Highlands.

Stayed here twice now as close to Nestle Dalston. Easy to find, ample parking, comfortable rooms, very friendly owners. Breakfast is excellent. Would definitely stay again, Try the Lowther Inn just the other side of the M6 for a nice evening meal 5 minutes in the car away.

I stayed in a double room with ensuite shower room & whilst the room was on the road it was surprisingly quiet and I had a lovely nights sleep. The owners were most welcoming & explained where everything was in the building. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of options. I will definitely stay here again & am presently...

This hotel was very clean and comfortable and the owners extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and very good. Overall the hotel had everything I needed. It is in the countryside yet still close to the motorway and within driving distance of Carlisle. There is no bar but I was told the property is licensed...

I decided to stay here at short notice instead of camping whilst on my way north. A warm welcome, comfortable bed, a good breakfast and on my way the next morning. The room may have been a bit cool for some, but didn't pursue the issue as it was still warmer and drier than a tent in the hills.
