Susan the owner is so sweet, This place felt like i was staying at my grans rather than a bed and breakfast, so homely and you instantly felt right at home. Nothing was too much trouble for susan and even provided us with a packed lunch for our days walk ahead. Breakfast was outstanding. This place really is a gem...

After a long 23 mile day, it was lovely to walk in to the B&B. Nice warm greeting, shown to lovely rooms and able to relax before getting a take away delivered - even the dining table was set up for us to use. Breakfast was an early start as we had another long day, but we were given gorgeous...

Newtown Farm was our favorite accommodation on the Hadrians Wall walk. We had 3 rooms, 2 with ensuites and the 3rd with a lovely private bathroom with a huge bath. The rooms were spotlessly clean, warm, with comfy beds and cosy furnishings. The shower was fantastic. Sandra drove us to a local pub for dinner and we caught a taxi...

Very conveniently placed on the Hadrian's Wall trail. The hosts are friendly and happy to drive you into nearby Brampton for dinner. The room was comfortable and had ensuite and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. If you ask them on arrival, they can provide you with a packed lunch (for a small cost) for the next day if you're...

A good spot right on the wall where the owners also take you into Brampton to have dinner at the Howard Arms (lovely), but you then need to get a cab back. Lovely fruit salad for breakfast. The one downside was no WIFI (or mobile signal at the property) and we also have to wait an hour and a half...

We walked the Hadrian's Wall trail and this was our first stop after 20-odd miles from Bowness, and were greeted by Susan with a warm welcome. A lovely comfy bed and a spacious en-suite to freshen up in was heavenly! Malcolm then kindly drove us to the local pub so we could get something to eat. In the morning, a...

We were a group of 6 Canadians walking Hadrian's Wall and as such, a family room to all gather in during the evening was always a bonus. Newton Farm had THE best . A no nonsense delicious breakfast as well as transport to and from the local pub made this a recommended B and B!
