We finally arrived at our final destination - Ballater - after doing 256 miles in the saddle from Edinburgh! We followed the Deeside Way (Route 195) from Aberdeen - 44.5 miles some of which was tough going up and over the forest at Banchory. So we arrived late again looking really done in. We were greeted at the door by...

Angela has just started managing this long standing B&B set in the gorgeous little town of Ballater. It is a large residence complete with separate guest lounge. It used to close in October but luckily under new management it was still open. My room was cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good. A lovely stay.

Stayed 3 years ago (it was good then), decided to return again only to find new management but we were not disappointed in any way. The Netherley is a homely B&B of a type we like, good service and a great breakfast. Angela the one mand band manageress is a hard working person always looking to maximise the quality of...

This is a small guest house managed by a hard working staff. The establishment is ideally situated just a short walk from the location of the Games and the town centre of Ballater. My friend and I stayed on a bed and breakfast basis in clean and secure rooms, and in addition to the stay enjoyed cooked Scottish breakfasts, with...

A real home from home. The proprietor, Gordon, was an excellent host when myself and nine friends stayed for the weekend. Nothing was too much trouble. At breakfast time there was so much to choose from, you were spoilt for choice. There was certainly no need to go away hungry. The accommodation was up-to-date, clean and comfortable with spacious rooms....

Netherley Guest House was a very charming B&B in the very cute/quaint town of Ballater. We really enjoyed our one night stay - the room (especially the bathroom!) was wonderful, the maps/restaurant recommendations were helpful, and breakfast the next day was delicious. It's close to several activities - Balmoral Castle was only about 15 minutes away, and the Cairngorms National...

Ballater is a great little town- and so close to Balmoral! The Netherley House was a wonderful find. Good location, brilliant breakfast, friendly host, all in all, one of our favorites. Clean modern bathrooms and nice amenities. Enjoyed wandering in the town- delightful shops!

Cosy spotless room, fine breakfast and a great host. Went to Ballater to do some cycling, we got to check in early (11am), so could get changed in our room, and in the evening there was a secure place for us to keep the bikes. Great location in the town centre.

Thank Aldo T
