The hotel has changed hands i believe over the past few years. Nothing major has changed other than the heat of the rooms. Could do with the radiators working. The hotel is located next to a flaming grill pub (The Pelican) which do a nice pint and do a nice burger. It's about 15 mins to the airport and around...

Stayed overnight as we had to go to Manchester Airport the next day. Comfy and clean room. Evening receptionist was helpful and booked us a taxi for the next morning. I too could hear the generator from the next room but didn't disturb me the whole night and managed to get a good night's sleep.

This is a clean and tidy hotel. We stayed here the night before our flight at Manchester airport. It only cost £44.01p. It was a bargain. We will certainly stay here again before our next holiday. The hotel was beside the Pelican inn, so it was easy to get food, without having to drive anywhere.

We actually drove past the lodge opening as located behind a flaming grill bistro pub, (looks like a good menu) and the sign lights were broken, but I recognised the building from pics which was a godsend or I would have been up & down the street a few more times. It looks like old Butlins chalets from the outside...

We stayed here overnight before a flight from the airport. The hotel is very basic but serves a purpose. Car parking is good and easily accessed, meals are taken in the adjacent pub which is ok. My only comment was the smell of stale smoke in and around the ground floor rooms, and also the damp smell in the room...

The receptionist came to check my room after I advised that the fan in the bathroom was noisy and still running 90 minutes after I had switched the lights off. I told her that the noise by the bed area was unbearable to which she replied that it was not the noise coming from the bathroom but from an electrical...

Despite looking a bit dodgy from the outside - it was fine on the inside. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly, room was clean and a good size (although there was a slight lingering smell of smoke). Transfer to the airport was prompt and I would most probably stay again if flying from Manchester.

Thank Alice B
