I had room 350 EXC room as I always try to get this room. I know its been a long hard time for use all re Covid, but I was looking forward to little extras in the room like robe & slippers, but sadly not there, not even tissues, good job had packed some. Room clean & tidy as always, plenty of tea, coffee, milk, but a new addition a mini fridge, but had to switch it off as made a noise, but put it back on in the morning as stayed only one night. Had a fan & safe in the cupb'd, plenty of drawers, had a sofa bed too. TV on the wall. Staff always very friendly checked by Hannah & room was ready just after 2pm, but saying due to Covid 3pm onwards. Thanks to Emma C, AJ who checked me out by 11am.Thanks to anyone I have forgotten. Had breakfast & got a lovely welcome back from Karen, had English breakfast & help yourself now, plenty of bread for toast, pastries, jams, orange & apple juice. Machines for tea & coffee. Well set out & waited for you to be seated. Plenty of free parking, but diff if a function is on as I found out out. Round the hotel 4 times as these 4x4 cars take up 2 spaces sadly. I had a dog barking in a room not far from me, but must of thought the owner was coming back, but sadly not, but later they did. Hotel very close to town centre, metro, Trafford Centre & into Manchester via metro. Plenty of hand gel & mask to be wore in public places. Would recommend the hotel & hopefully next the little extras will be added. Don't forget to get a reward card as points added on each time you stay on room only, just waiting for mine to be added..... When you get enough points you can exchange them for all diff things eg free night stay depends on where.....…

Really bad experience and no customer care whatsoever. Booked a one night stay for 4 adults and 2 children before an early morn flight from Manchester. The rooms allocated and on the booking form clearly stated ‘family four room’ and ‘double room’. When we got there we were told there were no family four rooms and that the only way our family could be accommodated was to pay an extra £30 so we could have 2 rooms for 3 people. When we pointed out it wasn’t our error and provided proof of the booking they still refused to waive the fee or assist. We had an early morning flight so were checking out at 330am. It resulted in one of the kids having no bed and no sleep before our flight. Would not book again!

Thank you for your review. On your arrival the Reservations Manager spoke with you as you queried your booking, she also took the time to try to explain to you what we (the hotel) had received in terms of your confirmed requirements. by doing this we certainly did not give bad customer service. The Manager also showed you the booking confirmations which came from APH - the booking platform to which you used to book your accommodation, it clearly stated that you had booked two rooms. One for 2 adults & 1 child and one room for 2 adults. It was advised for the 4th person in the first room that there would be a £30.00 supplement charge but we wavered this for you which you do not state in your review although it was not the hotels mistake as the booking confirmation states. Further more we contacted APH who re-confirmed back to us the above details as stated on the booking confirmation. The rooms provided to you were one double room and one family room with 1 x double bed and 1 x double sofa bed which were all equipped for the correct sleeping arrangements for each person. We will always reply to reviews ensuring that we provide the correct and accurate information. For any further queries on your booking please refer back to your booking channel provider. the hotel was clean and the staff were easy to talk too, the price of the beer at the hotel bar was so so, and a big car park great for manchester airport or manchester city centre, or a night out in altrincham, good for public transport links only 5 min walk, metro link / trains and buses to manchester city / stockport town centre, its a lot better then britannia hotel in stockport by far,

Food was very bad Sent it back ordered a sandwich took 40 mins so had it sent to my room that was also bad I could not eat it I had no dinner that night. Bath room show stool not clean, I also had to wait 1 hour to check even though I said I would be arriving at 2pm I was in s disabled room

Do NOT stay at this hotel unless you also want to pay a £100 parking fine!! I stayed in February 2023, inputted my registration number into their computer upon arrival and today I have received a PCN. I rang the hotel and was told as the car parking is run by a third party company there's nothing they can do. Not helpful at all.

AJ and the team were absolutely lovely - so kind and willing to give us a lot of their time. AJ made us aware of the local market which is a must visit, and also directed us to visit the theatre a few minutes walk away. Rooms were lovely and clean, and the breakfast was yummy! Chef and serving team were really friendly and happy to help. Would 100% visit again.

The staff are wonderful - couldn't do enough to help. I had a lot of problems with the WiFi which is supplied by an outside contractor. Despite everyone's best efforts the problem was never resolved. Unfortunately the hotel furnishing is tired and needs money spending to refurbish it. There is nothing worse than seeing a worn carpet when you first arrive and in the corridors. It's about time Whitbread looked into this matter. It didn't ruin my stay but it showed a lack of care by the owners.

Stayed here overnight for a work trip. Staff were all very friendly (breakfast chef top man!), breakfast quality was good and I can’t comment on bar/restaurant facilities as I didn’t use them. Room was very snug but mine was clean although could definitely do with a facelift - carpet and bedding felt like they were at the end of life. Worse thing for me was the mattress. Literally felt like bed springs were sticking into me all night so quality of sleep want great. A few people in our group said the same. Some refurbishment and investment needed here!

I stayed at this awful hotel February 2023. I arrived very tired after a five hour drive, booked in and went to my room. The room was very pokey and dull, the carpet was covered in stains. I decided to read the trip advisor reviews since I couldn't believe how bad it was. Former customers complained about being issued parking fines - I then realised I should probably have registered my car at reception, the receptionist never mentioned it! I went to dinner, wow, how bad was that, little more than a waiting room, few customers, poor menu listing poor cheap disgusting food. The people sitting near by were burping after devouring a Pizza, tells you something. Next morning I raised the issue of the parking, I told the receptionist that I hadn't been asked to check my car in, she was unsympathetic, she said "there are plenty of signs about", I think she is in the wrong industry. I didn't argue, she represents "Best" Western, their rules. I WILL NEVER STAY AT A "BEST" WESTERN AGAIN!!!!…

Thank you for your feedback, it is disappointing to read that you had a poor stay with us. We do have a management team on duty 24/7 and would have been more than happy to resolve any problems for you during your stay so that you would leave with a better impression. A room move would not have been a problem. Your comments have been shared with the management team, in particular the Housekeeping Manage and Head Chef. The words used by the receptionist were not the best to use, however it is the car owners responsibility to also ensure that they have taken notice of the area in which they are parking their vehicle to ensure that it is parked / logged correctly.
