Came for a family reunion where nothing seemed too much trouble. Owners and staff all exceedingly friendly and helpful. Food wholesome and tasty. One minor point, parking is tight so if your car is double parked please leave your keys in reception!

A fabulous welcoming stay at this attractive family run hotel.  The owners are very friendly and extremely attentive to special requirements in food and accommodation that we had.  The bedroom we where given is on the ground floor is large and very comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom.  The food is excellent with service to match. A serene garden and conservatory in which to enjoy... More

My room was as spotless and as comfortable as always. I had dinner in the restaurant for the first time. The food was excellent (so much so that I ate there the second night too!). Located five minutes stroll from the shops and the beach, this is a lovely, friendly hotel and always my first choice when I visit Sidmouth.... More

The hotel is a short walk from the town and the sea front. Lovely well looked after and cosy hotel with a lovely large conservatory at the back of the hotel. The room we had was very clean and the bathroom was fitted out beautifully, the room had a large comfortable bed and was decorated well. Breakfast was very tasty!

The hotel was lovely, friendly family who run it, breakfast was delicious. Would stay there again and recommend it. The room was clean and just what you need for an overnight stay. I was quiet and peaceful during the evening and night.

Second visit to this excellent hotel, centrally located for shops, seafront etc. Bedrooms are beautifully furnished and we were very well looked after. Excellent breakfasts and would recommend a visit.

We were made very welcome and comfortable. Room well appointed, with view of lovely garden. Food excellent both at breakfast and dinner. Good location for getting to the sea front, the theatre and shops, and also for getting out of town to visit other places of interest, including the fine city of Exeter and its magnificent cathedral.

We stayed here for two nights. Our bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size, staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were good! There is a comfortable lounge and lovely garden. We enjoyed our stay and were so pleased we'd chosen a small hotel. Recommend highly.

The Breakfasts at the Woodlands are great. The conservatory is a great place to chill out, read or chat. A great warm welcome from the staff makes you feel at home. The building is quite old so some rooms are a bit small but the place is spotlessly clean throughout and recently decorated to a high standard. I would stay... More

The woodlands hotel is situated a few minutes walk down a slight incline from both the shops and the seafront. The large room was spotless with doors opening onto the delightful gardens. The kingside bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the evening meals although a fairly limited choice were again freshly cooked and delicious. Dan... More
