We had a wonderful stay at the Woodlands hotel. Very welcoming hosts who looked after us and our family who were camping near by. Room was spacious, very clean. Nicely furbished. Lovely gardens. Breakfast v good. Parking available and only short walk to shops and beach. We will definitely return.

Stayed for 4 days in a lovely room overlooking the garden. The food was very good both breakfasts and dinners. The hotel owners made everyone feel very welcome and it had a nice family atmosphere. We would recommend and Sidmouth is a lovely seaside town.

This was our second visit to the Woodlands Hotel. We were impressed on our first visit in Autumn 2015 and we were not disappointed with our recent second visit. The hotel is an interesting Regency Villa complete with a Blue Plaque and within easy reach (5 to 7 min walk) of the centre of Sidmouth. Like many we use Sidmouth... More

Owners Dan and Megan are most welcoming to this friendly comfortable hotel. Our room was large overlooking the well kept garden. The bathroom had yet to receive the refurbishment that most of the hotel had already received. Breakfast was excellent with fresh eggs from their own chickens.

We had a lovely, bright room which was spotlessly clean. Having requested a quiet room, we were not disappointed. The evening meal was very well presented and we enjoyed the meal very much. The hotel is not on the sea front, but is only a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed a walk along the front in the early evening.... More

We had a lovely room (21?) with fresh white, pale blue and grey furnishings and a small balcony overlooking the garden, sadly the April weather was just a tad too chilly to enjoy the balcony. Happily, the welcome from Megan and the team was as warm as ever. So interesting to see the progress that they have made in the... More

I travel to Sidmouth on business a number of times each year and always stay at The Woodlands. Megan and Dan offer a warm welcome to all guests and every member of staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is professional but relaxed and the facilities are excellent and very comfortable. Its always a pleasure to visit The Woodlands!

The Woodlands Hotel is a superbly located hotel, close to the beach and shops. We had a superior room for our one week stay. The bed was huge, and very comfortable. We dined in the hotel every night. The food was wonderful. We could not find fault with any of the meals. The lounge was also very spacious and comfortable.... More

We had a three days stay at Woodlands and couldn't have found a more delightful hotel. The owners were very welcoming, nothing being too much trouble. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and there was a superb shower in the en suite. We just had the one evening meal during our stay which was very good.
