We wanted an economical weekend theatre break (Stephen Joseph Theatre) and found the Pheonix Court. We had a top floor room overlooking the North Bay, the decor was a bit tired but don't let that put you off, the room was very clean, excellent shower in en-suite bathroom and very quiet. The breakfast with home made bread, jam and marmalade...

We had a sea view room on the second floor, and the panorama of North Bay was amazing. It's worth staying her just for that. But the welcome was most friendly, and the owner offered to advise on dining and sight-seeing options. One advantage is that the centre of Scarborough is walkable and fairly flat, and one of the cliff...

We booked a last minute stay in Room 8 of the hotel - it was a lovely big room on the second floor, with a great sea view of the quiet north bay. The service was great - I'm always a bit scared of B&Bs as I like some anonymity on my holidays, but that wasn't a problem at all...

We stayed for two nights in room 5 on the first floor, with a beautiful sea view. The location is ideal for the shops, and either bay. Our greeting was absolutely lovely, and the lady (I assume the manager) who checked us in (and, incidentally, who seemed to be the only member of staff until we were served by a...

We were in the hotel for five nigths in December 2014-January 2015. Hotel and town are not overcrowded. Value for money. Spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Hotel is perfectly situated near the castle, near the old town etc. but not in the centre of the town. Quiet on the street, quiet in the hotel. It could not be better.

Our room was a spacious and lovely room with a stunning shoreline view.. the kind of view that makes you want to write a novel! The location is close to the castle ad we walked the half hour from the train station ( most people drive guess). Proximity to the restaurant new town area is about a 1/2 hours walk....

We stayed at Phoenix Court for a night on the august Bank Holiday weekend and it's a lovely B&B. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was very spacious and very clean. It had the usual tea, coffee, biscuits. Plenty of towels and toiletries. TV in room and wifi available if needed. The bed...

We took the grandchildren for 3 days, along with one of our daughters, from Thursday to Sunday. Our daughter's room had a put-up bed for our 2nd daughter who spent Sat night with us. This room was pleasant. Both rooms were dated and needed refurbishment. In our room one of the panes of glass had a board in it's place,...

The rooms were clean, the bedding was clean and the bed comfortable. Overall state of the rooms was quite shabby, décor was poor, there was a broken window in one room. Breakfast was very good. The host was very nice. Overall this was disappointing considering the reviews on trip advisor, however if they were to sort the décor and tidy...

Just got back from an all too short one night stay in their sea view room. It certainly lives up to its name with stunning views of the sea and the North Bay. What a pleasure to sit looking out the window sipping a glass of chilled white wine. Lovely welcome from Alison the owner and the locally sourced breakfast...
