Having recently stayed here, found The Moorings to be in a good position to walk to the beach, to catch the open topped buses. Lovely and clean. Comfy bed. Would be handy if going to the nearby open air theatre as it's only across the road. Car park was a little small which is ok if quiet or you want... More

We had a 1 night stay here for the recent Paul Heaton gig at the nearby Open Air Theatre. The hotel is literally across the road from it so its really convenient. The room (No.2) has its own little lounge adjoining the en suite bedroom and was tastefully decorated and spotless. Breakfast was excellent and the only drawback was a... More

We booked two rooms here, double and single, as we were visiting family in the area. I don't believe we could have chosen better. From the welcome when we arrived to the phone call after we left, to inform me that I had left a phone charger in the room, the service was exceptional. The breakfast was probably the best... More

Can't go wrong here, we stayed with 2 children (18 months and 30 months) and the owners were very accommodating of the chaos we brought with us. Very clean and tidy close to the north bay beach, the room was lovely, comfortable and couldn't ask for more. Slightly on the expensive side (£100 for 1 night, 2 adults and 2... More

Booked this last minute for the Tour de Yorkshire. How lucky were we! Not only was it right across the road from the start at the open air theatre but the owners could not do enough to accommodate us. This included getting up for an unearthly start at 6 am to make us hungry cyclists breakfast. The place was in... More

Perfectly located - we were off to a concert at the open air theatre which was a few minutes away. The parking is limited, but they do explain this when you book - we were greeted by a lovely man who welcomed us and explained the facilities. The hotel is clean and smart, with lots of lovely pictures and ornaments... More

We stayed at the Moorings for 3 nights. Our stay was very enjoyable. We even got a choice of rooms when we arrived. The owners Pat and Derek were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were top notch with an extensive choice. Our room was very clean and lacked for nothing, even had a fridge with... More

Cosy Bed & Breakfast and is very close to Scarborough's Open Air Theatre, the only downside was the bed in our double room was really hard so I can't say I had a comfortable nights sleep & the wardrobe was very small (length wise) so we had to keep our clothes on the coat hook on the back of the...
