Just had a long weekend at this guest house. It's not the best but then again we have stayed in worse. The decor is a little tired but important things like the bed and shower were very good. Breakfast was nice but a little dis- organised. We had to ask for glasses for fruit juice and dishes for cereal. There... More

With a little luck we stumbled upon this hotel, booked it as a base for a wedding photography job I was doing in Scarborough. My only criticism is the free parking, it's a disc display system for three hours and it's on the surrounding roads so you can end up anywhere. The people who run the hotel are friendly, the... Had a fantastic week stay at the Lyness, room immaculate absolutely spotless, beds comfortable, breakfast outstanding but what makes it special is Dave and Val who are fantastic hosts. We will definitely return.

Arrived Friday afternoon, very welcoming and we were in Room 2, good view of back yard.... Room good size, very nice breakfast. Location good for Peasholm Park and nice walk along front on a morning. Only downside is the on street parking, move and you can spend an hour finding another.

This is a well situated guest house with a very friendly family feel to it. David and his wife are very welcoming and helpful to all requests. The breakfast was delicious. The sea front is a short walk from the guest house and Peasholm park is very close.

We stopped in room 6. The room it's self was an ok size and had a bunk bed and small double bed. The room was really really warm even without the heating on, a fan was provided and used. Breakfast was ok and the owners always wanted to help and even tried to entertain our little boy at times during... More
