The location is great for the funicular down to the beach and free parking on the street. Beds very comfortable and room quiet with a very good powerful shower with lots of...

My family and I stayed for two nights in late August and had a lovely visit. The hotel is lovely - it's a great old building, but with everything that you'd expect from a modern hotel. Joanna and Robert are very welcoming hosts and the breakfasts that they provide enough to keep you going all day! We had a bulb...

Stayed here early August in Room 8 and the top of the house for 3 night before moving onto Whitby for another 3 nights. First of all what a beautiful grand Victorian building! Our room was huge, perfect for a family, brilliant hot drinks tray with the added bonus of fresh milk in the fridge on the landing (I wish...

My Wife and I stopped at the Cavendish for a four night mid week stay, Robert and Joanne were fantastic hosts, and you would not find a better breakfast anywhere. We found it too be excellent value for money and would highly recommend it.

Very friendly and welcoming. Able to accommodate early morning starts with a packed breakfast. An evening meal is also an option with the food being freshly made to order and excellent in quality. Mike, Newcastle upon Tyne

Not too far from railway station, if you are physically able - steep hill. Walking distance to beach, by cliff lift or stairs. Lots of amenities for all ages nearby. Good transport links to other parts of local areas and around Scarborough. The Cavendish looked welcoming from the outside and once inside Jo was very welcoming and informative. Our room...

Chosen because of its good reviews and we were very satisfied with our decision. Well maintained, comfortably friendly little hotel. We had a beautiful and comfortable. Parking on the road was easy and parking and the hotel provided free vouchers. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit was very varied. Drinks in the lounge was a pleasant touch. Will use again.
