Absolutely bowled over by our reception at the start. Andy, the owner, came out to greet us and point out where we should park. (We were the only arrivals that day but what a greeting.) The standards at this hotel are very high with great, and genuine care taken to please the customer. The room was immaculately presented and spotlessly...

Don't get me wrong the place is great..everything you want, roomy, modern, clean and well placed but the welcome, the hospitality and the banter at breakfast makes the stay! I stopped one night for business took my wife along for the trip had far too much to drink, was offered a full fry up with Panadol on the side! Will...

My boyfriend and I travelled to Scarborough for 4 days and chose to stay at 17 west street... We couldn't have been happier! The young couple, Andy and mica were so friendly, laid back and happy to help. Breakfast was delicious, the room was so clean and comfortable- nothing bad to say at all. Also the perfect location for getting...

The young owners have put a lot of thought into their B & B and it shows. The whole place is well decorated and very clean. The signage was brilliant. Driving down the street it was easy to spot which is very helpful when you are looking for a place. Friendly owners and staff. Really comfortable beds and lots of...

The goods - very friendly couple. Room: large bright, clean room and great bathroom. Breakfast - one of the best I have had at a b&b, including Linda McCartney sausages (we are vegetarian), poached egg cooked to perfection and little plum tomatoes. 'Honesty' bar - what a lovely idea, we didn't use it, but people had just written what they...

Stayed at No 17 as we were in Scarborough to see Tom Jones perform there. The hotel looked more up market than the usual tired seaside B and B's. The hosts were excellent making us feel instantly welcome. The cooked breakfast was good, served very quickly and piping hot, there was good quality coffee, a choice of cereals juice etc...

A thoroughly enjoyable stay during our 4 days in Scarborough. The room was the biggest we have stayed in to date, and provided the space and amenities we needed for our 4 year old. Stylish decor and plenty of information provided regarding the hotel and locality. We couldn't fault it. Andy and his family gave us a lovely welcome and...

A lovely period hotel run by two of the friendliest owners you could wish to meet. They are obviously very busy people but took time to answer questions and recommend eating places in the town. The rooms are clean, spacious and well furnished. Cereals, juice and good choice of cooked breakfasts are served in a pleasant, airy room.
