Went to the mount for a weekend in the sun with our boarder terrier, great that they allow dogs but felt we where an inconvience, put in a side room for breakfast is fine but we where forgotten about,we paid like everyone else and should be treated the same, and when staff blame each other for not doing there jobs isn't something you... Lovely location and friendly staff. Breakfast really tasty and freshly cooked. I have stayed in many different hotels in Scarborough over the years and this is one of the best. Certainly nicer than the larger hotels nearby. I will certainly return and will give the restaurant a try next time

We were invited to a surprise birthday party for my nephew, unfortunately in the middle of waiting for the surprise, which turned out to be a party which my nephew knew was going to happen, I think he was told on purpose. We lost a family member - my mum she passed away peacefully after a short illness, unexpectedly. She... More

No frills here just straightforward value with spacious rooms, the best breakfasts ever-served with personality by a true Yorkshire comedian and close to all amenities. Ok little bit cramped at the entrance and parking difficult. But advantages clearly outweigh all this.

This hotel is in much need of an up grade and despite its boast of being a top hotel it is anything but. The room I was allocated had not been made up and the mattress was on it's side with a urine stain clearly visible, after a half hearted apology I was given another room which could be best... More

Stayed for one night in the executive double with a sea view. The room was a great size with a great view. Bed was comfortable and clean. There was a lot of furniture in the room and most of it is not of the best quality but it certainly looks the part and was in keeping with the style. The... More

Stayed here with my elderly father so among the things I looked for and found in this hotel were: Location - cliff top, but 5 minutes walk to the funicular railway which takes you down to the beach and which runs from 9am to 9pm, so pretty much ideal for our purposes. As its also near the town, it was... More

Lovely looking hotel from afar but close up now looking a bit tatty around the edges. Had a massive room on 1st Floor with tall georgian windows over looking the Valley footbridge. Setee and chairs and king sized bed.Bathroom as in many older hotels needs attention - blackened seals etc. Outside the room the wrought iron fronting the windows rotting... More

Had a lovely overnight stay. The lady on reception was most helpful. Parking can be a bit of a lottery as there are a limited number of spaces which are usually well contested. Excellent choice of breakfasts.
