I have lived in the area for most of my life and have only just found this absolute gem of a hotel and restaurant, we booked a Sunday lunch and did not expect the excellent welcome, service, food and location. If you ever think of visiting Scarborough or the east coast th n you must stay here, the staff are...

My partner and I, and her mother, stayed at Wrea Head Hall for a weekend break, to visit the North Yorkshire area. The Hall is an old, imposing building, in impressive grounds, and with some good views from the room. Decor is traditional, but largely in good condition. The rooms we had were large and well equipped, and quite comfortable....

My wife and I stayed here as part of a Rotary Club mystery weekend. What a fantastic place! We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The room was excellent (we were up graded free of charge). The bar had bottled real ale in the bar for a before dinner drink and from here we watched a deer cross the...

We have been visiting Wrea Head for a number of years and the service is outstanding. The location is stunning. This is a real retreat and ideally positioned for Scarborough or Whitby. The food served in the restaurant is of the highest standard and a must for residents. I cannot praise this hotel enough and will be returning for years...

What a lovely building, very grand. The drive up to it is very peaceful down a tree lined drive. Were shown to our room, 14 deluxe, which was on the first floor. It was clean and fresh with a comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were served cream tea in the lounge...

Stayed twice now and can't wait to go back. Rooms are immaculate and finished to a very high standard. Food is delicious, the staff and service are first class, nothing is too much trouble. The location and views are idyllic. Looking forward to our stay in September sometime.

Found the Wrea online and was impressed by the photos and reviews. Before arriving I called to check on my room type and discussed I was travelling from London to see my partner who was having a tough time at work. The hotel staff were so helpful and I was actually given a free upgrade to a superior room on...

This is a staggering find. A beautiful building on the outside, matched by its beauty on the inside, painstakingly renovated and refurbished. The hotel is surrounded by stunning gardens and is an oasis of tranquility. The food in the 1881 restaurant was fabulous and we had the privilige of meeting the head chef Andrew who has worked there many years...

This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful setting. All the staff were very friendly and very efficient and our bedroom was extremely comfortable. We chose the package that included dinner and couldn't fault the food. Imaginative, well presented and very well cooked. We would definitely stay here again.
