I stayed at the 'Northfield Hotel' a couple of times whilst at the West Somerset Railway, after a 10 minute up hill walk from the station I arrived at the hotel and my immediate thoughts from outside was 'Fawlty Towers' right down to the entrance hall, reception and an retired couple playing cards in the lounge, However my thoughts were...

Very nice hotel. We stayed here as we were visiting the nearby steam railway. The bedroom and bathroom were both really spacious and the bathroom offered both bath and shower. Within easy walking distance of the seafront and town centre

Very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Room had more than adequate heating. Some nice extras in Superior room-bottles of water, good choice of teas, . Swimming pool excellent-only criticism was that it didn't open until 8.00 a.m. and was a bit busy by then. Good location...only 5 minutes from town centre. Worth going out for night-time walk, to hear the owls....

We stayed here for the first time whilst visiting family. A warm welcome greeted us. Really pleased with our room and the amenities. We used the swimming pool and jacuzzi, a lovely bonus. Our family joined us for a meal in the evening. Service and food was excellent. Every member of staff was so pleasant and helpful. We will definitely...

After checking the facilities the hotel, we were assured the hotel was disabled proof! The list is tiny - in a wheelchair you are rammed against the back wall. Knees touching the back wall. Room no 7 was a nightmare - no grab rails. A high step into the shower, low level toilet. Bed without a foot board making transfer...

We love staying here as there is always a warm welcome from all the staff. Chris and Stewart have kept the charm of this beautiful old building, but have modernised the bathrooms, plus added some new furniture and lovely, comfy beds. The food is always of a high standard with plenty of choice. For a couple of nights there were...

We had another fantastic stay, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean. The spa is an added bonus and more than welcome after a days walk. Breakfast is very well cooked with a large buffet selection. Afternoon tea is a lovely touch with home made cakes. Dinner is great with a good choice of...

This visit was our second Christmas visit. The room was excellent, with all the little touches you would not expect from a three star hotel. The food is always a highlight of this hotel, it never disappoints. The Northfield breakfast is second to none. Christmas lunch was relaxed and delicious. It is the management and staff that really make this...

Last time was dinner for two, yesterday was lunch for thirty six. Same warm welcome and the most delicious meal. Everyone served within a few minutes with superb food on piping hot plates. Staff always smiling and attentive without being over the top. Only wished we lived far enough away so we could justify an overnight stay. Thanks Northfield, if...
