Stayed over the bank holiday and it couldn't have been better! went for long walks over Exmoor from the back door and walked to the pub from the back door! The breakfasts are excellent and the dinner cooked for us was outstanding all produced from the farm where possible. If in the area again would not hesitate to re-book and...

We had an all too brief stay at North Wheddon Farm, but will certainly go back to this lovely B&B. Rachael could not have made us feel more welcome, the farmhouse is warm and cosy and does actually feel like a farmhouse should. The four-poster room bedroom was really comfortable and had everything we needed (down to a hairdryer) and...

We have just got back from a short break at North Wheddon Farm where Rachael and Julian made us feel most welcome. We stayed in Eden lodge a fantastic little self catering unit it what I'm guessing used to be the farm Granary. We would not hesitate to recommend North Wheddon Farm. Located in a beautiful part of the country and offering home from home accommodation. However the strong point is the food with superb breakfasts featuring the farm’s own bacon, eggs and sausages. The farm’s smoked salmon is served with delicious scrambled eggs, the breakfasts are rounded off with local jams and...

We stayed in Eden Lodge with our very excited 2 year old. The place is beautifully decked out, in a great location with lovely hosts (who handled the power cut perfectly!). Home smoked Salmon, Air Dried Ham, Sausages and Bacon were the absolute best and the fresh bread was wonderful. We'll definitely be going back. Thanks Rach, Julian and the...

A real country experience this - you stay on a small farm nestled in the fold of the hills with walking opportunities all around. Our hosts are young, easy going and friendly, with time to show us where the animals are reared/smoke/cured - its certainly 'hands on'. We ate home smoked salmon, thick moist slices as a first course for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
North Wheddon Farm is an ideal base to access the Exmoor and Devon area with it's fantastic beaches and stunning scenery just minutes way. We offer superb bed and breakfast accommodation within the farmhouse. In the grounds of the farm we have two self-catering properties, the Farthingwood Barn and the Eden Lodge. Here at North Wheddon we love to cook and are proud of our reputation. Food is very much 'River Cottage' style. If we can not grow it or raise it here on the farm, you can be sure it is locally sourced and the very best of quality. From home smoked bacon to our own Aga baked breads you won't go hungry. ... more   less
