A very comfortable hotel. Having booked in August, as prices reduced at time of stay on 8 October, we were upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost. Excellent room with spectacular view over the Firth. Well laid out continental breakfast - could have had cooked for extra cost

Stayed 2 nights and booked evening meals on both nights. We had a room on 2nd floor overlooking the quay. Its a well appointed hotel and the dining room and lounge overlook the coast. Evening meals (vegetarian) were well presented and very tasty.

Stayed for valentines for 1 night, lovely stay. Greeted by the lovely owner. Weather wasn't great due to the season so big room was a little cold despite 3 radiators. The next day was a beautiful day so room was great temperature. The views were outstanding. Lovely bar with log fire, dining area, great continental breakfast. Mini football table in... More

I booked this hotel for myself and my young daughter in the expectation that it would be comfortable and relaxing for my daughter who would be competing at Cowal Gathering. When I arrived at the hotel at approx. 6pm I was greeted by a very confused looking owner. He was clearly not expecting any new guests and had double booked... More

Unfortunately my wife and I only had one night to stay in this lovely establishment, but we certainly weren't disappointed. Very friendly staff, beautiful period decor, amazing view and excellent breakfast. Will certainly be back!!

Lovely old building which must have been refurbished to a high standard a few years back. Now needs a bit of TLC (windows single glazed, older bathroom suite, gutters leaking etc.) Comfortable bed and great sea views. Door was locked on arrival with numbers pinned to door to call to gain entry? No restaurant, had to go to hotel next... More
