A group of us stayed over after having a business group Christmas meal in the Inn. The Christmas meal was excellent. Very tasty and beautifully served. The rooms were clean and comfy. It was the first occasion in a long time that I stayed in a room without an en-suite. However, the shared bathroom was beautifully clean and decorated. The...

We came down for the races and had the best meal here. The fillet steak was excellent, with mushrooms, chunky chips and onion rings. The pizza and salad were a cut above. The deconstructed Eton Mess could have taken its place in the best London restaurant. Prices very reasonable as was the bottle of wine. would highly recommend.

This was a drop in for us heading from North Wales to Cornwall. Very happy we found it. Our room was the superior room, very comfy, quite spacious for England with nice bathroom. Had a few drinks at the bar which was friendly so decided to try a meal. Their chef really knows his stuff. Took the breakfast option and...

Dave and his wife were so welcoming and accommodating. The family room was very spacious, plenty of room for 3 people. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. Looking forward to returning soon.

I stayed here for two nights over the weekend, for a reunion, Dave, his family and all the staff were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were very good and filling, as were the baguettes I had during the day. Some lovely real ales as well, including my favourite of the weekend, Butcombe! Thanks for your hospitality Dave, Theresa, Linzi? and Eisha,...

Great location for the town and amenities, around the corner from the castle and up the hill from the Riverbank with the historical iron bridge that crosses the Wye from Wales into England. Decor is really pleasant, the hotel is absolutely clean. It has been refreshed while still keeping the 16th Century Inn feel. The beds were lovely and comfortable...
