We recently spent two nights at the Castle View Hotel in Chepstow at the completion of our hike along Offa's Dyke. We loved the Castle View! We had a large, comfortable double room the first night (with one queen size bed). We added a 2nd night right before we arrived, and our room was already booked for the 2nd night....

Chepstow was one of those places which i'd always passed on the way to somewhere else.easy to find and the parking was ok ( £4=24hrs ).great position, next to museum, two decent pubs within spitting distance and a great view of the castle, which is bigger and better than i thought it would be.the hotel is close to being perfect, decor is a slightly...

We stayed for one night in the Castle View and they were amenable to us having our labrador Lulu with us. The decor is homely and quaint and, as dog owners we were given a garden room so that we could take her out without interrupting other guests. Staff friendly and polite, breakfast delicious with healthy choices provided including strawberry/granola/yoghurt...

We spent three evenings at the Castle View. Our room was in the back, off of the garden. The room itself was spacious and clean although an update is called for, especially to the carpeting. Which is but a quibble. The hotel was quite charming. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel was very popular with walkers. We...

My stay at the castle view was warm and welcoming. The staff there were kind and helpful and the rooms were comforting and well decorated. The garden was beautiful and lovely place to sit and have a drink. The breakfast I had was delicious and filling. I would really recommend the Castle View to all travellers that pass through the...

Delicious Sunday lunch served in lovely, comfortable surroundings within a stones throw of the stunning Chepstow Castle. Lunch was beautifully cooked, and although the restaurant was full, the service and quality of each of our three courses was superb. Staff are all extremely kind and welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

We were introduced to Castle View for a family Sunday lunch. The food was superb, excellent choices and ample portions. The staff made us most welcome. The hotel commands a wonderful view of Chepstow Castle with ample car parking opposite the hotel. We plan to stay as a couple next time and explore further.

The Castle View Sunday lunch is delicious - the best in Chepstow! Last weekend, we were able to dine outside in the beautiful garden, which has recently been developed. The Castle View hotel is the ideal place to relax, eat fantastic food and drink, and to spend time with family and friends. I would highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely little hotel. Because the hotel was very full we had to change room the second night, but that was only positive because we then saw 2 different room types. First night we had a family room with garden view. It was situated in the fare back of the garden. The room was a...

Comfortable room and good breakfast. The hotel is very old with low beams and different levels. I was starting the Offa's Dyke Path, and the staff were happy to provide an early breakfast and a packed lunch. The hotel is situated a short walk to the centre of town where there are a number of pubs and restaurants.
