I needed a quick stopover and booked Ballykiseen at the last minute and to be honest I wasn’t expecting a lot but I had a very comfortable stay - a warm bedroom on arrival which was very welcome on a cold November night. Room was very comfortable and well furnished - good shower and plenty of good quality fluffy towels....

We had our wedding here 3 weeks ago today. the staff were brilliant to deal with, the food was amazing. The only problem i had was that in reception wouldn't take the cards but it was easy find someone to sort this out, Helen was fantastic to deal with and couldn't do enough for us. When we got engaged we...

Sadly after receiving a voucher from the hotel after past bad experiences, this hotel still let us down. No booking on arrival even though front office manager confirmed, house keeping walking into our room without knocking, being told kitchen was closed half way through our dinner and a cold breakfast the following morning. Hotel has potential but needs a lot...

I loved my stay here in Tipperary. The countryside was beautiful. The amazingly friendly staff were a real highlight. The local travel tips were invaluable. The buffet breakfasts were fantastic, and the service at the breakfasts was outstanding. I loved that when I got in late from the local pubs that there was a friendly doorman. I felt at home,...

We stopped here for quick lunch on the way back from airport. It was ok but I would not come back especially for that as it wasn't that good, if you are around you can try but would not make my final destination. Staff nice, prices decent but food very average. Good stop on the way from airport...

Came here for lunch recently. Bar not clean ( dirt on floor and large cobwebs on light fittings) even though it was not busy, service very slow and haphazard but worst of all the food was very very poor. In fact it resembled hospital canteen food quality. Surroundings are nice and may return just for a drink but not to...

My husband and I got married at the Ballykisteen Hotel in August 2016 and we wouldn't have changed a thing. Helen Leddy, the wedding coordinator, was so friendly and helpful and it made the whole experience stress-free and more enjoyable as a result. We live in the UK and were a little concerned about planning an overseas wedding initially, but...
